XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Toyota PREMIO ST210 1997-2001

The Premio ST210’s front-drive platform and compact saloon proportions have made it a reliable base for grassroots rally and rallycross competition in Japan’s club scene – a car that rewards commitment on loose surfaces when the suspension is up to the task. These XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilovers are built specifically for that environment: longer travel at both axles to keep the ST210’s wheels working through surface transitions, with thermal capacity to match.

Standard competition dampers run out of oil capacity on extended rough-surface stages. XYZ Racing’s solution on this kit is to increase both the suspension oil volume and the nitrogen gas charge, so the dampers maintain consistent behaviour even after repeated hard cycling over gravel or snow. The result is a coilover designed for Toyota Premio ST210 owners who compete rather than cruise.

What this coilover does for your 1997-2001 Toyota PREMIO ST210

Increased front and rear suspension travel creates a larger buffer before the wheel reaches full compression – critical on gravel and snow, where a sudden crest or rut can spike the suspension in ways a sealed circuit surface never does. The expanded oil and nitrogen specification means the ST210’s dampers stay calibrated deep into a stage, rather than fading when shock fluid overheats under sustained load. Three independent adjustment knobs offer genuine control over the damping curve, letting you tune the front and rear response to suit changing grip levels across different surface conditions. The small oil passage design that makes fine-tuning possible can produce some noise through large impacts – this is a characteristic of the engineering, not a fault.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow series is built first and foremost for rally and rallycross use, where unpredictable terrain demands suspension travel well beyond what a conventional road or track coilover provides. XYZ Racing extended the travel at both the front and rear axles to increase the buffer distance between wheel travel and suspension limit, keeping the car stable through sudden surface changes. The increased oil volume and nitrogen gas capacity address the specific failure mode of sustained hard use – shock oil temperature rise leading to damping fade – by giving the fluid more thermal mass to absorb before performance drops. Adjustment comes via three control knobs working through a small-passage oil circuit, delivering precise and distinct changes between settings rather than the vague graduation of a simpler single-knob unit. The construction also handles circuit duty without issue: track bumps present no concern to a damper built for full loose-surface stages.

Fitment for the Toyota PREMIO ST210 (1997-2001)

This coilover kit is engineered for the Toyota Premio on the ST210 chassis, covering production from 1997 to 2001. Check your chassis plate against the ST210 code before ordering to confirm you’re on the correct base vehicle – Premio variants from adjacent generations share the platform but use different suspension geometry.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
