XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Toyota GR YARIS GXPA16 4WD 2024-2026

The GR Yaris GXPA16’s GR-FOUR system splits drive front-to-rear across three settings – Normal, Sport and Track – which means the chassis has to change how it rotates depending on where torque is being sent, not just how much grip is available at each end. Toyota’s short wheelbase and firm factory geometry were built for rally-inspired stability, which is close to the opposite of what a controlled slide angle needs. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover is built around that contradiction: a setup for a chassis that wants to hook up, aimed at a discipline that wants it to rotate on command.

For competitive drifting in the GXPA16, that means lowering the car and shortening the bump stroke without turning the chassis unpredictable mid-slide. The Drift Spec kit is the line XYZ Racing built specifically for that job, rather than a track or fast-road spec pressed into drift use.

What this coilover does for your 2024-2026 Toyota GR Yaris GXPA16 4WD

Drop the ride height correctly and the GXPA16 sits with a lower centre of gravity and less body roll transferring load off the front axle mid-turn – the platform the GR-FOUR system needs to send power through predictably once the car steps out. The Drift Spec coilover’s controlled bump stroke keeps the body settling into a slide rather than pitching through it, so the chassis holds its line once you’re past the initiation point instead of continuing to move underneath you. That matters more on an AWD car than a rear-drive one: with power going to all four corners, an unsettled chassis fights the torque split instead of working with it. The result on your GR Yaris is a car that’s easier to catch, easier to hold at an angle, and more consistent from one entry to the next.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line for one discipline: competition drifting, where the car needs to be stable at an angle rather than stable in a straight line. The design targets the body during high-speed direction changes specifically, keeping it settled so the car holds a clean, controllable angle instead of wandering through the slide. That’s a different brief to a track coilover, where the goal is minimising body movement to maximise mechanical grip – here the goal is predictable movement once grip has already been given up. Set the ride height correctly and match the bump stroke to the car, and XYZ Racing’s own development work found drift control improved to what they describe as an excellent standard. On the GXPA16, with all four wheels driven, that controlled bump stroke is what lets the chassis absorb the transition from grip to slide without the AWD system fighting the driver for control of the car.

Fitment for the Toyota GR Yaris GXPA16 (2024-2026)

This kit is built for the Toyota GR Yaris GXPA16, the 4WD chassis code covering the 2024 to 2026 model years. It’s matched to the GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive platform specifically, not the earlier or standard Yaris range, so confirm the GXPA16 chassis code against your logbook before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
