XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Subaru XV GT 4WD 2017-2026

The XV GT’s raised crossover stance and permanently engaged symmetrical AWD put more load through the outside dampers than the Impreza hatch it shares a platform with, especially when trail-braking into an apex or riding kerbs on a circuit day. Standard-issue struts were never tuned for that combination of ride height and drivetrain grip, and it shows the first time you push the car hard on track.

The XYZ Racing Circuit Master coilover for the Subaru XV GT 4WD (2017-2026) is built specifically for sustained circuit lap-time work rather than a single quick blast. It replaces the factory strut and spring assembly front and rear with a damper designed to hold its settings through a full session, not just the first flying lap.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Subaru XV GT 4WD

Dropping the ride height and stiffening spring rates over standard cuts into the body roll that the XV GT’s taller crossover body carries into a corner, sharpening turn-in without losing the AWD platform’s traction advantage. Three external adjustment knobs let you separate compression and rebound circuits corner by corner, so you can firm up the front for trail-braking into a hairpin and still let the rear settle over kerbs on exit. With 9720 combinations of adjustment across the range, there’s enough resolution to chase a specific balance change – one click stiffer on the front, one softer on the rear – without guessing at a middle setting. Because the XV GT’s front subframe and rear crossmember carry more unsprung mass than the saloon-bodied Impreza, backing off compression early in a session before spring take-up settles the platform helps keep all four corners evenly loaded through a full stint.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits alongside XYZ Racing’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally coilovers as the variant built specifically for circuit competition rather than road use, developed and validated with XYZ’s own racing teams on international circuits over an extended test programme. Adjustment comes from three external knobs feeding a small-oil-hole damping circuit, giving 9720 possible combinations – enough to move from a wet-track compromise setting to a dry-tyre, high-grip configuration without swapping parts. That small-oil-hole design is deliberate: it’s what lets the damper hold a consistent curve at circuit speeds, though it can produce a faint noise over sharp bumps and expansion joints – normal behaviour for this damper, not a fault, and irrelevant on the smooth surfaces the Circuit Master is built for. The construction targets repeated track sessions, where consistency between laps matters more than outright compliance on broken tarmac.

Fitment for the Subaru XV GT (2017-2026)

This kit is built to the SU21 chassis code covering the Subaru XV GT 4WD across the 2017 to 2026 model years, matching the factory AWD mounting points front and rear. Confirm your build year and drivetrain against the SU21 code before ordering, as GT-trim mounting can differ from lower trims within the same generation.
