XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Skoda FABIA 6Y (TYPE 2) 1999-2008

The first-generation Fabia 6Y carries real rally DNA: it was the homologation base for the Fabia WRC that contested the World Rally Championship from 2003, and the road car’s short wheelbase and light tail are exactly what a gravel build wants to work with. The XYZ Racing Pro Rally coilover for the Skoda Fabia 6Y (type 2) is built for that world – loose-surface stages where a road-spec damper overheats and packs down on the first run of compressions.

This is competition hardware, not a fast-road kit with a stiffer label. It targets top-flight rally use, with the wheel travel and damping authority to keep a front-driven Fabia hooked up over ruts, crests and snow rather than skating across them.

What this coilover kit does for your 1999-2008 Skoda Fabia 6Y (type 2)

On gravel and snow the Fabia 6Y lives or dies on rear-axle behaviour, and a properly valved coilover is what stops the light tail stepping out unpredictably mid-corner. The Pro Rally setup gives you the long, controlled travel needed to soak up impacts without bottoming, so the front tyres keep biting through trail-braking into a hairpin. Ride height comes up where stage clearance demands it, and damping is matched to loose-surface loads rather than smooth tarmac. The result on the SK02 platform is a car that stays composed over terrain that would have a standard strut hammering through its bump stops.

About the Pro Rally coilover

The Pro Rally is XYZ Racing’s dedicated gravel and snow rally suspension, valved for the heavy, repeated impacts of loose-surface competition rather than circuit smoothness. It is offered in two distinct build paths. The first bolts directly to the original Fabia chassis with no shell work, which suits crews running an amateur or club-level car that has to stay close to standard. The second is the full professional configuration, intended to be fitted after the body has been modified to accept the larger travel and mounting demands of a top-flight stage car. Choosing correctly between the two comes down to how far your Fabia build has gone, because the professional spec assumes shell preparation the amateur fit does not.

Fitment for the Skoda Fabia 6Y (type 2) (1999-2008)

This kit is specified for the Skoda Fabia 6Y (type 2), chassis code SK02, covering the 1999 to 2008 production run. Confirm your car falls within that year span and chassis designation before ordering, and select the amateur or professional build path according to whether your shell has been modified for rally use.
