The Altea 5P’s tall five-door body sits on the same PQ35 platform as the Mk5 Golf R32 and Audi A3 quattro, but the 4WD variant carries its Haldex driveline weight higher and further forward than either hot-hatch relative, which means body roll and nose dive show up earlier under hard cornering and braking than the platform’s reputation suggests. Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s dedicated lap-time kit, built for drivers who take a car like this onto a track and need the chassis to hold a line lap after that first flying lap rather than settle into understeer once the tyres and dampers heat up.
For an Altea 5P 4WD owner doing sustained circuit sessions rather than the odd trackday sighting lap, that means damping that can be set once for the car’s raised centre of gravity and then left to do repeatable work through a full session, not re-adjusted between runs.
What this coilover kit does for your 2004-2015 Seat Altea 5P 4WD Φ55
Fitted to this chassis, the kit’s damping range is there to manage the specific problem the 5P 4WD has over the front-drive Altea: extra unsprung and driveline mass sitting higher up, which loads the outside dampers harder mid-corner. The φ55 monotube body gives the shock more oil volume to work with than a thinner-shaft design, so heat from repeated corners has somewhere to go before damping force starts to fade lap on lap. With 9720 damping combinations available across the three external knobs, you can separate compression and rebound behaviour front to rear, which matters on a nose-heavy 4WD layout where the front axle is doing more of the cornering and braking work than the rear. The result on track is a car that turns in with less initial roll and holds its attitude through the corner instead of wallowing into the apex.
About the Circuit Master coilover
Circuit Master is the range XYZ Racing positions above its road-biased lines, developed and run by XYZ’s own racing teams across multiple circuit disciplines before it reaches customer cars. The headline figure is 9720 possible adjustment combinations, delivered through three external knobs rather than a single dial, so compression and rebound can be tuned independently instead of moving together. Internally the valving uses a small-orifice oil path to generate that adjustment range; over sharp bumps or kerbs this can produce a faint noise as oil passes through the narrow passage, which is a normal characteristic of this valving design rather than a fault, and it’s the trade-off XYZ makes to give circuit drivers this much control over damping. The kit is built and specified for track surfaces rather than pothole-strewn back roads, and that’s where it’s meant to be run.
Fitment for the Seat Altea 5P 4WD Φ55 (2004-2015)
This kit is specified for the Seat Altea 5P chassis in 4WD Φ55 guise, covering the 2004 to 2015 production run. Confirm your Altea is the 4WD Haldex model rather than the standard front-drive 5P before ordering, as the two use different suspension geometry front and rear.

Spec your damping and spring rate for the way you actually drive the Altea 5P 4WD on track, then build yours below.
Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
Front
Pillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
Hardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
Rear
OE (factory) mountOERetains the OEM (factory) upper mount — preserves the original ride comfort, noise and vibration behaviour for a stock-like feel.
