XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 997 TURBO CARRERA-4 2005-2011

Drifting a 997 Turbo Carrera-4 isn’t the obvious choice – the PTM all-wheel drive system is calibrated to resist exactly the sustained oversteer a drift run demands. Yet the rear-engine weight bias, the flat-six twin-turbo mounted behind the rear axle, and the considerable mass of the Turbo platform create a car that – when the suspension is right – produces committed angles and holds them. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover is built for competition use on precisely this kind of platform.

At event speed, body stability under sustained drift angle is what separates a high-scoring run from a corrective spin. The 997 Turbo’s rear weight bias and PTM’s active torque distribution mean the suspension setup can’t simply be transplanted from a lighter, rear-wheel-drive drift platform. The Drift Spec addresses that gap directly.

What this coilover does for your 2005-2011 Porsche 997 Turbo Carrera-4

The Drift Spec’s geometry and spring rates are configured for high-speed drift work: holding a precise angle as the 997 Turbo’s mass loads through corner entry, managing the rear axle as boost builds and PTM apportions torque, and giving the driver a stable, consistent platform from one competition run to the next. Ride height is fully adjustable, letting competitors lower the centre of gravity to suit the event surface, while the bump stroke calibration is set for controlled oversteer rather than passive roll resistance. The 997 Turbo responds to steering and throttle inputs with the predictability that sustained drift angles at competition speed require.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec range is built specifically for competitive drifting – not adapted from a road or circuit product. Its engineering focus is vehicle body stability during high-speed cornering at extreme yaw angles, the ability to achieve and hold a precise drift arc without chassis composure breaking down mid-run. Ride height adjustment and bump stroke calibration work in combination: together they improve entry angle, sustain the chosen drift line, and bring overall drift control to a level suited to structured competition. For an AWD platform as dynamically specific as the 997 Turbo C4, that pairing of lowered ride height and measured bump stroke travel is the technical foundation of the whole system.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
