XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET (without hydraulic lift system) 2019-2026

The 992’s rear-engined, tail-heavy layout already loads the back axle hard under power, and the moment grip turns marginal on gravel or snow that bias makes the car want to step out. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet is built for exactly that surface, with deliberately long suspension travel front and rear rather than the short, firm stroke of a tarmac kit.

This is a specialist setup, not a fast-road lowering job. The Carrera 4’s driven front axle and the Cabriolet’s extra mass and softer shell both want a damper that keeps all four tyres loaded over ruts, crests and frozen ridges. The long stroke here is the whole reason the kit exists.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet

The extended travel front and rear builds in a larger buffer before the suspension runs out of stroke, which is what keeps a 992 settled when a gravel surface throws it around mid-corner. Because the dampers carry a greater volume of shock oil and nitrogen gas, they hold their damping characteristics through long stage runs instead of fading as the oil heats. The three adjustment knobs let you set the car up for the conditions – looser and more compliant for deep snow, firmer for hard-packed gravel. On the open-top Carrera 4, where the shell flexes more than the coupe, that compliance keeps the tyres talking to you.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow is engineered around rally and rallycross use, where wheel travel and thermal stability matter far more than ride height. XYZ Racing has lengthened the stroke at both axles to absorb the bigger inputs a loose surface delivers, and increased the internal oil and nitrogen capacity so the damper resists overheating and the oil-starvation that follows after sustained hard use. Adjustment is handled by three separate knobs, giving independent control over the damping curve. One quirk of that design: the small oil passages can produce a faint noise when the car works through large bumps as fluid is forced through the restricted port. That is normal behaviour for this construction and not a fault. Across a stage, that engineering is what keeps the car predictable when the surface is not.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet (2019-2026)

This kit is specified for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet, chassis code PO29, across the 2019 to 2026 model years. It is the variant without the hydraulic lift system, so confirm your car is not fitted with factory front-axle lift before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
