XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-2/S (without hydraulic lift system) 2019-2026

The 992’s rear-weighted balance – roughly 62 per cent of its mass distributed behind the rear axle – defines every track session from the first corner. Strong traction on exit is the reward; a rear end that rotates quickly when provoked on entry is the variable that keeps you honest. The factory PASM system manages both tendencies competently for road use, but on circuit it hedges: damping calibrated to handle school-run surfaces and motorway expansion joints cannot also be optimised for sustained lap loads.

Replacing the PASM setup with the XYZ Racing Racing Spec coilover for the Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S (without hydraulic lift system) removes that compromise. Settings were derived from direct participation in WTCC racing events – not road-car development with a track tune applied afterward – which means the damper calibration reflects the loads that committed circuit driving actually places on the 992’s suspension.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S

Fit a dedicated track damper and the 992 Carrera communicates differently. PASM introduces variability across repeated corners – the electronics read each event individually rather than applying a consistent calibration – so the rear end’s behaviour shifts subtly between entries at the same turn. With the Racing Spec setup, spring and damping rates are fixed for track conditions, giving the chassis a more readable character that holds from one session to the next.

Reducing ride height also moves the 992’s geometry into a more useful window for circuit work. Less body roll means the wide standard-body 992 maintains tyre contact more consistently through sustained cornering loads, which in a rear-heavy car directly influences front-end grip response and the point at which understeer arrives.

About the Racing Spec Coilover

XYZ Racing built the Racing Spec damper for track and time-attack use from the outset – it is not a road coilover with performance settings appended. All calibration was obtained through direct WTCC competition involvement, meaning the damper curves reflect actual race-condition loading rather than road-use approximations with a lap-day bias layered on top. For cars carrying substantial upgrades – approaching factory racing vehicle or A-class specification – XYZ Racing offers custom-built units. Supply a complete list of modified components and the specific circuit you intend to run, and the specification is configured around your car’s exact setup. This route is designed for vehicles that have moved significantly beyond standard road parameters.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S (2019-2026)

This kit covers the Porsche 992 Carrera-2 and Carrera-S (chassis code PO19) from 2019 to 2026. It is specified for cars without the optional hydraulic front axle lift system – if your 992 carries that factory option, this kit does not apply. Confirm your car’s factory specification sheet before ordering.
