XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Peugeot 206/ 206 RC 1998-2010

The Peugeot 206 earned its reputation on loose surfaces: the 206 WRC took three consecutive manufacturers’ titles between 2000 and 2002, and the road-going 206 RC inherits that lightweight front-drive layout. On gravel and snow, a nose this light rewards long, controlled suspension travel and damping that stays consistent far more than it rewards outright stiffness. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Peugeot 206/ 206 RC is built around that principle rather than a circuit-flat ride height.

This is the loose-surface specification in the XYZ range, set up for rally and rallycross use where the surface moves under you and the car needs to soak up hits without unloading a wheel. Extended travel front and rear keeps the contact patch planted over crests, ruts and compressions that would bottom out a tarmac kit.

What this coilover does for your 1998-2010 Peugeot 206/ 206 RC

The longer stroke front and rear gives the 206 a bigger buffer before the damper runs out of travel, so the front axle keeps biting on rough stages instead of skipping wide. The increased volumes of suspension oil and nitrogen gas mean the damping holds its character through a long run, rather than fading as the fluid heats up and the car starts floating on its bump stops. Three adjustment knobs let you tune the car to the surface, softening off for deep snow or firming up for harder-packed gravel. On a 206 RC used as a fast-road and occasional-loose-surface car, that breadth of adjustment is what lets one kit cover genuinely different conditions.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper is designed primarily for rally and rallycross, and the engineering reflects that. The longer travel at both ends increases the buffer distance available to keep the car stable when it lands or compresses hard. XYZ has increased the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas the unit carries, which raises shock stability and stops the oil temperature climbing to the point where the damping is exhausted after sustained use. The three adjustment knobs run a small-oil-hole design: when you hit a large bump, fluid forced through that smaller passage can produce a faint noise, which is normal behaviour for this construction and not a fault. It is a coilover built to take repeated stage abuse rather than smooth track laps.

Fitment for the Peugeot 206/ 206 RC (1998-2010)

This kit is matched to the Peugeot 206 and 206 RC across the 1998 to 2010 production span. Confirm your exact variant against the configurator before ordering, as the 206 range covered several engine and trim combinations over that period.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
