XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Nissan TEANA J31 6 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2003-2008

The J31 Teana carries a heavy VQ35 V6 well forward of the front axle, and on loose surfaces that mass keeps travelling long after the front wheels have found new grip. Ruts, compressions and sudden camber changes on gravel or snow punish a chassis with short-travel suspension, which is exactly the gap the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built to close.

This kit is for Teana J31 6-cylinder cars running the Modified Rr Integrated rear set-up, and it is aimed squarely at rally and rallycross use rather than tarmac circuit work. Front and rear struts get noticeably more travel than the road-going range, so the car has somewhere to move when the surface drops away underneath it.

What this coilover does for your 2003-2008 Nissan Teana J31

Extended suspension oil and nitrogen gas volume is the headline change here: more fluid and gas capacity means the damper has a bigger thermal buffer, so oil temperature stays under control even after a long, hard stage rather than fading as the shock works overtime. On a car the size and weight of the Teana, that matters more than most – a heat-soaked damper on a big saloon goes soft exactly when you need it most, mid-stage over successive bumps. The added front and rear travel keeps the wheels tracking the ground on washboard gravel and rutted snow instead of skipping across the top of it, and the 3-way adjustment lets you retune compression and rebound as conditions change between stages.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is a rally and rallycross damper first, with construction built around endurance rather than outright stiffness. The extended oil and nitrogen gas reservoir is the core design decision – it is there specifically to stop shock fluid overheating and being exhausted after sustained hard use, which is the failure mode that ends a stage early on lesser dampers. The 3 adjustment knobs use a small-oil-hole metering design; on big compressions you may hear a faint noise as oil passes through the restricted passage, which is a normal characteristic of this valving rather than a fault. Longer front and rear travel gives the chassis the buffer distance it needs to stay composed over the kind of terrain a road-spec coilover was never asked to handle.

Fitment for the Nissan Teana J31 (2003-2008)

Fits the Nissan Teana J31, 6-cylinder variant, built between 2003 and 2008, specifically where the rear end has the Modified Rr Integrated configuration required to accept this coilover’s extended-travel rear damper. Confirm your car matches this rear-end specification before ordering, as the standard J31 rear set-up differs from the modified variant this kit is designed around.

Built for stages where lesser dampers fade – configure your Pro Racing Gravel/Snow spec below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
