XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Nissan SKYLINE V35 4WD (Modified Rear Integrated) 2003-2006

The V35’s ATTESA E-TS system runs rear-biased by default, only shuffling drive forward once the back axle starts to slip, so the rear end still has to do the bulk of the cornering and traction work that a full-time 4WD car would spread evenly. Add the VQ35DE’s weight over the nose and stock dampers struggle to keep body control consistent through a lap, especially on the rear-integrated suspension mounting fitted to this 4WD variant.

XYZ Racing’s Top Sport kit is built for exactly that mix: regular track days plus a car that still has to be driven home afterwards. It raises damping and spring rate over the standard setup without tipping into a stripped-out race ride, giving the ATTESA system a more stable platform to work from when it decides where to send torque.

What this coilover does for your 2003-2006 Nissan SKYLINE V35 4WD (Modified Rr Integrated)

With damping and spring rate lifted 30-50% over a street setting, body roll through direction changes drops noticeably, which matters on a chassis where the rear axle is already carrying more of the cornering load than the front. The stiffer rear-integrated mounting keeps the back end settled under power as ATTESA shifts torque forward, rather than letting the suspension wallow while the system reacts. Sharper control over big hits and uneven Tarmac means less shock to the body structure and, more usefully, better sustained tyre contact through a session rather than a single quick lap. The result is a car that turns in with less lean and puts power down with more confidence once the rear starts to load up, without the harshness that a dedicated race spring rate would bring to a road-registered car.

About the Top Sport coilover

Top Sport sits above XYZ Racing’s street-oriented ranges, built from the brand’s own track-day damping and spring settings rather than road-first defaults. Spring rate and damping are raised over a standard street coilover, typically by around 30-50% on damping or roughly 2kg/mm on spring rate, specifically to control the vehicle through big compressions and rough surfaces without transmitting the full impact into the chassis. That extra control suppresses body movement over kerbs and mid-corner bumps and keeps the tyre working the road surface rather than skipping across it, which is where the stability comes from. It’s tuned from real track-day use rather than lifted straight from a full competition spec, which is why it holds up to aggressive driving on a circuit while still being liveable on the way there and back.

This kit is specified for the Nissan Skyline V35 4WD, chassis code NI45, covering the 2003 to 2006 model years, and is built to the modified rear-integrated suspension mounting used on this 4WD variant. Confirm your V35 is the 4WD version with this rear mounting before ordering, as the front-drive geometry differs from the RWD Skyline range.
