XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz GLB X247 4WD φ55 2019-2026

The GLB X247’s tall crossover body carries more mass higher off the road than anything else built on Mercedes’ MFA2 platform, and that’s the first problem a drift setup has to solve before it can worry about angle. Weight transfer under a sudden throttle-and-steer input is bigger and slower to settle than it is in the hatchbacks and saloons this chassis shares its underpinnings with.

XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover for the 4WD φ55 GLB X247 is built around that reality. It’s a coilover developed for controlling body movement through the initiation, transition and hold phases of a slide, rather than one tuned purely for lap time or ride comfort on this Mercedes Benz.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Mercedes Benz GLB X247 4WD Φ55

Lower the ride height correctly and you drop the GLB’s centre of gravity, which cuts into the roll that a tall SUV body naturally generates mid-slide. The 3 adjustment knobs let you separate compression and rebound behaviour so the car settles predictably once you’ve committed to an angle, instead of continuing to pitch after the transition is done. The larger 55mm shock body gives the damper more oil volume to work with, which matters on a heavier 4WD platform being asked to change direction repeatedly. Get the bump stroke set correctly for your ride height and the car holds its line through mid-corner surface changes rather than kicking back at the driver.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This coilover is built specifically for drift use rather than adapted from a road or fast-road spec. The internal architecture is designed to stabilise the car’s body during high-speed direction changes so the driver can hold a clean, consistent angle instead of fighting body movement mid-slide. Setting the ride height low and pairing it with the correct bump stroke is what unlocks the control this design is aiming for. The 3 external adjustment knobs work through a small oil-hole design internally; on rough sections of track you may hear a faint noise as damping oil passes through that narrow channel, which is a normal characteristic of this construction rather than a fault. It’s engineered around circuit-track surfaces, where repeated hard direction changes and kerb strikes are the norm rather than the exception.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz GLB X247 (2019-2026)

Built for the Mercedes Benz GLB X247, chassis code ME64, in 4WD guise with the φ55 shock body, covering the 2019 to 2026 model years. Confirm your GLB is the 4MATIC (4WD) variant before ordering, as this kit is specific to that drivetrain configuration.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
