XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W204/S204 4 CYL (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2014

The W204 C-Class was never built to slide, which is exactly why drift owners keep buying them: rear-wheel drive, a nose-heavy four-cylinder up front, and a chassis that will snap into oversteer the moment you unsettle the rear axle. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover exists for that moment, giving you control over how the body sets before, during and after the transition instead of leaving it to factory-soft springs and worn dampers.

On a 2007-2014 W204/S204 running the electronic-damping cancellation kit, that control matters even more, because you’ve already removed the car’s automatic ride management and put the job entirely on the coilover. This kit restores a coherent, driver-set baseline in its place, built specifically around holding an angle rather than just surviving one.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2014 Mercedes Benz C CLASS W204/S204 4 CYL

Lowering the ride height with a proper bump stroke changes how the C-Class loads its outside tyre through a transition, and that is the first thing you will notice on the W204: the car stops wallowing onto its bump stops mid-slide and instead settles into a position you can actually read and correct against. With the body held flatter under lateral load, initiation becomes more predictable, so you are reacting to the car’s angle rather than fighting the roll that got it there. The stabilising effect built into this kit’s spring and damper combination keeps the rear axle planted through the entry-to-mid-drift phase, which matters on a chassis where the standard suspension was tuned for ride comfort, not sustained slip angle. The cancellation kit fitment means this behaviour is consistent run to run, since there is no electronic damper trying to override your settings mid-corner.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line around one job: stabilising the car’s body while it is turning at speed and at an angle, so the car holds a clean line rather than wandering through the slide. The spring and damper tune is set up specifically to help the driver control that angle once it’s established, rather than simply cushioning the ride like a fast-road kit would. Ride height is dropped using a bump stroke calculated for this use case, and once that’s set correctly, the difference in how the car can be controlled through a drift becomes obvious from the driver’s seat. This is a purpose-designed race product for competitive drifting, not a general fast-road coilover pressed into service – the valving, spring rates and stroke are all chosen around holding a controlled slide rather than outright grip or comfort. For the W204/S204’s naturally nose-heavy four-cylinder layout, that focus on rear-end stability is precisely what the car’s factory setup lacks.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C CLASS W204/S204 4 CYL (2007-2014)

This Drift Spec kit is built for the W204/S204-generation C-Class fitted with the 4-cylinder engine, covering the 2007 to 2014 production run. It is specified for cars where the electronic damping system has been removed via a cancellation kit, so the coilover’s own valving is the only damping control on the car – check your C-Class was built to this specification before ordering.
