XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S/ GT C 2015-2023

The AMG GT S and GT C’s transaxle layout puts the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox over the rear axle, which gives the car close to a 50:50 static weight split. On the strip that balance works against you: the M178 twin-turbo V8 makes power faster than a lightly loaded rear tyre can put it down, and the standard geometry isn’t set up to shift mass rearward the instant you release the clutch.

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover is built specifically to solve that. It’s a launch-oriented spring and damper package for the AMG GT S/GT C that lets you set front and rear ride height independently, loading the rear axle before the front end has a chance to lift and unload it further through the run.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2023 Mercedes Benz AMG GT S/ GT C

Running the front end higher and the rear lower shifts static weight onto the driven axle before you’ve even left the line, which puts more vertical load through the rear contact patch the moment throttle goes in. That extra preload compresses the rear tyre rather than letting it spin loose, cutting the wasted time between wheel and road that shows up as a bogged or smoky launch. Because the geometry change is mechanical rather than relying on wheelspin to "find" grip, the AMG GT’s rear axle settles quicker and stays settled as boost builds through second and third gear. The result on your GT S or GT C is a shorter, more repeatable 60-foot time and a car that tracks straighter under hard acceleration instead of wandering as the rear steps momentarily loose.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing range is purpose-built for 0-400m straight-line work across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, which covers the AMG GT’s rear-driven, transaxle-balanced layout. The core idea is deliberate front-to-rear weight transfer: independently adjustable ride height lets you move static load onto whichever axle actually drives the car, rather than leaving weight distribution as a fixed factory compromise. On the AMG GT that means loading the rear axle and its driven tyres before launch, forcing greater compression into the contact patch and shortening the idle window where the tyre spins before it grips. The same geometry that helps the launch also settles the car as speed builds, keeping the chassis composed instead of unsettled through a full quarter-mile pass. It’s a setup built around one job – getting the power down at a standing start – rather than being adapted from a road or circuit spring rate.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz AMG GT S/ GT C (2015-2023)

This kit is built for the Mercedes-AMG GT S and GT C, chassis code ME54, covering the 2015 to 2023 production run. Confirm your car sits within that year span and trim before ordering, as ride height and adjustment range are set around this specific chassis rather than shared across the wider AMG GT family.

Speccing a Drag Racing coilover for the AMG GT S/GT C means setting up your own launch balance rather than living with the factory compromise – build yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
