XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz A CLASS W176 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2012-2018

The W176 A-Class’s factory damping was tuned around a torsion-beam rear on the lower-powered cars and a compact multi-link on the rest, neither of which was ever asked to control body movement at circuit speeds. On this Modified Rr Integrated fitment specifically, the rear axle geometry has already been altered to accept a proper coilover, which means the standard-length dampers this chassis shipped with are no longer the reference point – the whole rear end is waiting for a unit built to match it.

XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master coilover is that unit. It is the top of the range for a reason: this is the kit built for drivers doing repeated track sessions in an A-Class, not the occasional B-road blast, and it is calibrated to keep the front strut and the modified rear axle working together instead of fighting each other under braking and load.

What this coilover does for your 2012-2018 Mercedes Benz A CLASS W176 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Ride height and damping become fully adjustable, so you can drop the centre of gravity and firm up the chassis without the front-heavy A-Class nosediving under braking into a corner. The 9720-way adjustment range means the Circuit Master can be set stiff enough for a trackday and softened again for the drive home, rather than living with one fixed compromise. Because the rear axle on this fitment is already set up for coilover integration, the kit controls wheel travel through that modified geometry instead of working against it, which keeps the rear planted through direction changes. Expect sharper turn-in, less roll through fast sweepers, and a Mercedes hatchback that finally puts its power down the way the chassis was capable of all along.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s coilover line-up, built specifically around sustained lap work rather than a single quick run. Three external adjustment knobs give access to 9720 individual damping combinations, letting a driver tune compression and rebound separately instead of relying on one shared setting. The damper has been developed and run by XYZ’s own racing teams on circuits internationally, with the internal valving refined off the back of that competition use rather than bench testing alone. A small-oil-hole design in the damper body is part of that circuit-first tuning – on rough road surfaces it can produce a faint noise as oil passes through the smaller passage, which is expected behaviour and not a fault, and it disappears entirely on the smooth tarmac this kit is built for. The result is a coilover engineered to hold its damping character consistently across a full session, where cheaper units start to fade after a handful of hot laps.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz A CLASS W176 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2012-2018)

This Circuit Master kit is built for the W176-generation A-Class built between 2012 and 2018, matched to chassis code ME00-1. It’s specced for the Modified Rr Integrated rear configuration, so confirm your car’s rear axle has already been converted to accept a coilover before ordering – this kit is not a direct fit for an unmodified factory rear end.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
