XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Maserati GHIBLI M157 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2013-2026

The Ghibli M157 was built around Skyhook adaptive damping, and that’s exactly the system this kit is designed to retire. Swapping a 1,900 kg rear-drive (or Q4) saloon onto static coilovers is a deliberate decision: you give up the soft-mode commute in exchange for a chassis that finally stops floating over crested B-roads and stops squatting under the Twin-Turbo V6’s torque delivery.

For an M157 Ghibli owner running 19s or 20s, the standard adaptive struts feel increasingly vague as the bushes and electronics age. The Drift Spec coilover replaces that ageing setup with a 30-way adjustable damper and ride-height control, and the bundled cancellation kit keeps the dash clean of Skyhook fault codes after the swap.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 Maserati Ghibli

The Ghibli’s long wheelbase and front-mid V6 layout reward a damper that can resist initial dive without crashing over coarse Tarmac, and that’s where the 30-way adjustment range earns its keep. Wind it back for motorway work and the car still tracks straight at speed; wind it in and the front axle finally bites on turn-in instead of washing wide. Ride height is independently adjustable from spring perch length, so you can sit the Ghibli where it looks right without pre-loading the spring and ruining the rebound stroke. Camber plates on the front towers let you claw back the negative camber the standard arms can’t reach, which matters on a heavy saloon that eats outside shoulders. The included cancellation module stops the Skyhook ECU throwing a suspension warning once the OE struts are gone.

About the Drift Spec coilover

Drift Spec sits at the firmer end of the XYZ Racing range, built for cars that see committed circuit and drift use but still need to be driven to the venue. Construction is a single-tube monotube damper with a separate spring perch, pillowball top mounts up front, and 30 clicks of combined bump and rebound on a single knob. Spring rates are matched to the Ghibli’s kerb weight and the rear-biased weight distribution so the car doesn’t sit nose-down at static ride height. The body is steel with a corrosion-resistant finish – sensible for a UK car that will see winter salt between track days. The cancellation harness in this variant plugs into the factory Skyhook loom and emulates the resistance the original strut sensors would have presented, so no diagnostic warning, no permanent dash light.

Fitment for the Maserati GHIBLI M157 (2013-2026)

This kit is specified for the M157-chassis Ghibli across the full 2013-2026 production run, in the variant that came factory-equipped with Skyhook electronic damping. The "Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping" designation in the part name confirms the included harness; do not order this variant for a non-Skyhook car.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
