XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Honda LEGEND KA7 1991-1995

The KA7 Legend is a curious circuit candidate – a 3.2-litre V6 luxury saloon with a wide track, soft factory damping and the kind of front-axle mass that punishes lazy spring rates. Stock, it floats; on a quick lap it rolls onto its outside front, washes wide, and pogos over kerbs. The Circuit Master is the answer to all three of those problems on this specific chassis.

For sustained lap-time work in a KA7, you want a coilover that controls the nose under braking, holds the platform flat through long third-gear corners, and lets you carry kerb without the rebound stroke giving up. That is exactly the brief XYZ Racing built this damper around.

What this coilover does for your 1991-1995 Honda Legend KA7

Drop the body 25-40mm onto the Circuit Master and the KA7 immediately stops behaving like a hotel courtesy car. Front-end bite arrives the moment you turn in, because the higher spring rate plus tight compression damping pins the nose instead of letting it dive across the first half of the brake zone. Mid-corner, the V6’s mass over the front axle stays planted rather than rolling onto the outside tyre – so the car holds its line on throttle instead of pushing wide. Over kerbs the rebound stays in control, which means you can use the inside ripple strip in fast corners without unsettling the rear. The 9720 individual adjustment combinations let you separate low-speed control (turn-in, body roll) from high-speed control (kerbs, mid-corner bumps), which is the part most basic two-way coilovers cannot do.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits at the top of the XYZ Racing competition range, alongside the Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally dampers. Three independent adjustment knobs – separating compression high-speed, compression low-speed and rebound – give 9720 total damping permutations, which is what makes the kit usable across very different circuit profiles without changing parts. The damper bodies use a small-orifice valve design optimised for smooth tarmac, which is why XYZ flag a small audible note over very large bumps as normal behaviour: the oil is being deliberately forced through a tight passage to give the platform control that broader-orifice road coilovers cannot. This is a circuit damper that has been validated by XYZ race teams across international series, not a fast-road kit being marketed up. The trade-off is honest: smoother circuits and trackday tarmac, not B-road potholes.

Fitment for the Honda Legend (1991-1995)

This kit is built specifically for the KA7 Legend chassis, covering the 1991-1995 production run. Front and rear damper bodies, top mounts and spring lengths are matched to the KA7’s strut and damper geometry – no universal adapters, no fudged spacers.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
