The GR-generation Honda FIT is a strange thing to take circuit-shopping – a tall, light, torsion-beam-rear hatch that was never meant for sustained lap work – which is exactly why the chassis rewards a proper coilover more than most. Get the body control right and the GR’s low kerb weight and short wheelbase turn into an advantage on tight UK circuits like Cadwell, Mallory and the Donington loop.
XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master sits at the top of the range for that reason. It is the same platform XYZ runs on its own Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally programmes, and it carries 9720 individual damping permutations through a three-knob adjustment layout. For a FIT GR being built into a serious track car, this is the spec.
What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Honda FIT GR
Out of the box, the GR FIT understeers on turn-in and rolls noticeably mid-corner – both symptoms of a road-biased spring and damper package working a tall, light shell. Drop the Circuit Master in and the car sits flatter under brake release, the front loads more predictably as you trail off the pedal, and the rear beam stops skipping over kerbs because the dampers can actually keep the tyre planted.
The three-knob layout means bump high-speed, bump low-speed and rebound are independent, so the high-frequency hit of a sausage kerb at the apex no longer triggers the same valving as a long-duration body-roll input. You can run the front stiffer for braking confidence without losing low-speed compliance on track-out kerbs. On a 1,100kg hatch that depends on tyre contact to make front grip, that separation matters.
About the Circuit Master coilover
The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s circuit-focused damper, sitting alongside the brand’s Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds in the competitive tier of the catalogue. It has been development-tested on international circuits and run by XYZ-supported teams worldwide, with the brief being repeatable lap-time work rather than road comfort.
The headline figure is 9720 valid damping combinations, delivered through three discrete adjustment knobs – bump high-speed, bump low-speed and rebound – so the driver can decouple kerb-strike behaviour from body-control behaviour. The internals use a small-orifice valving design that prioritises consistent oil flow at sustained pace. One honest note from the manufacturer: under heavy kerb-hop or large road bumps, oil moving through the smaller passages can produce a faint mechanical noise. This is by design and is not a fault – the damper is built for track surfaces, where that scenario does not occur.
Fitment for the Honda FIT GR (2020-2026)
This kit is matched to the GR-chassis Honda FIT (the fourth-generation car, sold from 2020 onward in most markets). Confirm the chassis code on your V5 or build plate reads GR before ordering. Spec and shock length are set for the GR platform only and will not transfer to the earlier GK FIT or Jazz.

The Circuit Master is the spec to pick if your FIT GR is a dedicated track build – configure ride height, spring rate and damper knob settings below.
Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
