XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Honda CRV IV 2012-2016

The fourth-generation Honda CRV IV carries its mass high and rides on soft, comfort-biased springs that wallow the moment a surface turns loose. That same raised body and Real Time all-wheel-drive layout is precisely why a CR-V can make sense as a gravel and snow platform once the standard suspension is stripped out. The XYZ Racing Pro Rally coilover is built for that exact job: top-flight rally competition on rough, low-grip surfaces.

This is not a fast-road lowering kit. The Pro Rally is a dedicated loose-surface system, engineered to keep a tall crossover composed over jumps, ruts and compressions where the factory dampers simply run out of travel and control.

What these coilovers do for your 2012-2016 Honda CRV IV

Fit the Pro Rally kit and the CR-V IV stops floating over mid-corner bumps and starts holding a line. The long-travel damping absorbs gravel corrugations and snow ruts that would pitch the standard setup off course, keeping all four tyres loaded so the Real Time AWD system can actually put power down. Body control over crests improves sharply, so the nose settles faster on landing and you carry more speed into the following section. Ride height and corner balance can be set to suit the stage and the surface, giving a heavy, top-heavy SUV the platform discipline it never had as standard.

About the Pro Rally coilover

The Pro Rally is XYZ Racing’s gravel and snow competition suspension, aimed at the sharp end of rallying rather than the road. XYZ supplies it in two installation paths. The first bolts straight to the original CR-V IV chassis with no bodywork changes, which suits amateur and clubman crews who want a quick, reversible fit. The second is the full professional route, designed to be installed after the car body has been modified, freeing up the travel and mounting positions a top-level gravel car demands. Both share the same loose-surface brief: long suspension travel, robust damping and the ability to take repeated hard hits without fading. Which one you choose comes down to how far you are taking the build and which class you intend to run.

Fitment for the Honda CRV IV (2012-2016)

This kit is matched to the fourth-generation Honda CRV IV produced from 2012 to 2016. In amateur form it fits the standard CR-V IV chassis directly; the professional specification assumes a modified body shell. Confirm your build year and intended competition class before selecting between the two installation types.

2. Be installed after modifying the car body. (Professional type)
