XYZ Racing Pro Rally Coilovers — Chrysler NEON 1994-2000

The first-generation Chrysler NEON arrived as a featherweight front-driver – barely over a tonne, MacPherson struts up front, a short wheelbase and a chassis that always responded better to being thrown than to being nursed. That low mass is exactly what makes it a willing loose-surface tool, and the XYZ Racing Pro Rally coilover is built for that job: long-travel competition damping aimed at gravel and snow rather than tarmac lap times.

This is the sharp end of the range, not a fast-road kit pressed into stage duty. The Pro Rally is set up for top-flight rally competition, where the priority is keeping the NEON’s driven front axle hooked up over crests, ruts and broken surfaces that would have a softer road damper packing down and skipping wide.

What this coilover does for your 1994-2000 Chrysler NEON

On a light front-driver like the NEON, the gains you feel first are traction and composure on the loose. The longer travel lets the suspension follow a rutted gravel road instead of fighting it, so the front tyres keep biting and the torque steer that comes with a powered front axle stays manageable when you get back on it out of a corner. Firmer, rally-specific spring rates control the weight pitching forward under braking into a hairpin, and resist the body roll that otherwise unloads the inside front. The result is a car you can place with the throttle and commit to over a blind crest, rather than one that runs out of wheel travel mid-stage.

About the Pro Rally coilover

XYZ Racing builds the Pro Rally as a dedicated gravel and snow competition suspension, and the vendor splits this kind of rally setup into two fitment philosophies. The first is an amateur-grade installation that bolts straight to the original chassis with no bodywork changes – a club-level route in. The second is a professional installation intended to go in after the car body itself has been modified to accept it, which is where a full competition stage car ends up. The Pro Rally sits at that professional end of the scale, so it is specified for serious rally use rather than occasional weekend forest runs, with the travel and rates a stage car genuinely needs.

This kit is matched to the first-generation Chrysler NEON, chassis code CR02, covering the 1994 to 2000 model years. It is built around the standard front-wheel-drive layout. Confirm your year and chassis against the list before ordering.
