XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Chrysler NEON 1994-2000

The first-generation Chrysler NEON arrived as a 2.0-litre front-driver with a kerb weight that, by mid-90s standards, was genuinely light – and that has kept it on entry lists at amateur circuit meetings on both sides of the Atlantic ever since. The chassis responds to spring rate the way you’d expect of a short-wheelbase FWD car: lift the front off the bumpstops, take the slop out of the dampers, and the NEON suddenly starts pointing on throttle instead of washing wide. The Circuit Master coilover is built for exactly that conversation between driver and front axle.

This is the Circuit Master spec – XYZ Racing’s top-end damper aimed at sustained circuit lap-time work rather than fast-road compromise. If you’re running a CR02-chassis NEON in saloon-car class, track-day groups, or building a tarmac rally car, this is the kit XYZ Racing put against its own Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally programmes.

What this coilover does for your 1994-2000 Chrysler NEON

The NEON’s stock suspension was set up for Midwestern compliance, not for kerb-strike on a fast left-hander. Swap to the Circuit Master and the front end stops diving into the brakes, the rear stays settled under trail-braking, and you can finally use the front Goodyear’s full contact patch on corner entry. With 9720 distinct adjustment combinations across the three knobs, you can run a soft setup for a wet Cadwell day and rebuild it stiffer for a dry Donington session without touching the spring perches. Ride height is fully adjustable too, which matters on the NEON because tucking the front arches an inch lower transforms how the car turns in.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master is the same hardware XYZ Racing’s contracted teams take to circuit programmes worldwide, and the unit has been refined over years of competitive lap work. Three independent adjustment knobs split control of bump and rebound, with the third governing low-speed behaviour, and the small-orifice damper design is the giveaway that this is a circuit unit rather than a rally one. On smooth tarmac the valving is silent and progressive; over a sharp kerb strike or a heavily ridged road surface, you’ll hear a soft tick as oil works through the smaller passage. XYZ Racing flag this in their own literature – it’s a circuit damper, deliberately tuned for the surfaces a circuit damper actually sees. The 9720 setup combinations are not marketing arithmetic; they’re the practical envelope a competitor needs to adapt the same car to a wet club round, a dry national meeting, and a sprint event in the same season.

Fitment for the Chrysler NEON (1994-2000)

This kit is built for the CR02-chassis first-generation NEON, covering the 1994 through 2000 model years. The four-corner application is matched to the original FWD platform – confirm your VIN year if you’re working with a late-2000 build, as some markets transitioned to the second-generation car mid-year.
