XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 7 SERIES E66 12 CYL 2001-2008

The E66’s stretched wheelbase and nose-heavy V12 layout make it an unlikely but increasingly popular drift platform: big power, rear-wheel drive, and a chassis that was never designed to have its weight thrown from lock to lock. That mass transfer is exactly what the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built to manage, keeping the body settled through the transition rather than letting the front end plough on while the rear steps out.

This is a dedicated drift coilover for the 7 Series E66, not a fast-road spring-and-damper set pressed into service. The internals are set up to stabilise the body through high-speed, high-angle turns so the car holds its line and angle rather than wallowing or snapping unpredictably mid-slide.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2008 Bmw 7 Series E66

Lower the ride height correctly within the available bump stroke and the change in how this car transitions becomes obvious: less of the nose-dive and squat that a stock 760 exhibits when you load and unload the suspension quickly. The 3 adjustment knobs let you retune the setup as you learn how the E66’s long wheelbase behaves at different angles and entry speeds, rather than locking you into one compromise setting. Because the internal damping circuit uses a small oil hole design, you may hear some noise passing through bigger bumps at road speed – this is a known and normal characteristic of the valving, not a fault, and it has no bearing on circuit use, where surfaces are smooth and this setup is genuinely at home.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This coilover is built specifically for drift competition rather than adapted from a fast-road or track-day product. The 3-knob adjustment layout gives separate control over the damping circuit, letting you shape how the car reacts as weight shifts through a slide instead of relying on a single global setting. The small oil hole design in the valving is a deliberate part of that tuning, controlling oil flow precisely enough to hold body control at the high steering angles and high corner speeds drifting demands, at the cost of some noise over rough surfaces outside the circuit environment. Ride height is adjustable within a proper bump stroke, so you can drop the car without running out of usable travel mid-slide. The end result is a kit engineered around one job: keeping a heavy, long-wheelbase car composed and controllable at angle, on a circuit surface where its behaviour is genuinely at its best.

Fitment for the Bmw 7 Series E66 (2001-2008)

Built for the BM53 chassis code covering the E66 long-wheelbase 7 Series, 12-cylinder variant, across the full 2001 to 2008 production run. Confirm your car sits within this chassis and engine spec before ordering, as suspension geometry and mounting points differ from the shorter E65 body and from six-cylinder variants of the same generation.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
