XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 7 SERIES E65 8 CYL 2001-2008

The E65 7 Series brings more mass and a longer wheelbase to a drift line than almost anything else built for sideways driving, and that changes what the suspension has to do. Instead of simply softening the ride, the setup needs to hold the body flat enough through a transition that the rear axle keeps its angle rather than hunting for it. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that specific problem.

This is a circuit and drift-focused kit, not a fast-road compromise. It lowers the E65’s stance with a bump stroke calculated for that reduced ride height, and it gives you 3-way damping adjustment to shape exactly how the car’s weight loads and unloads the rear end as you steer into and out of a slide.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2008 Bmw 7 Series E65 8 CYL

A big, heavy V8 saloon like the E65 rolls and pitches more than a lightweight coupe under the same steering input, and that movement is what makes high-speed direction changes hard to read from the driver’s seat. This coilover cuts that body movement down, so the chassis settles into a slide instead of continuing to shift weight after the initial input. The 3 external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound specifically for how the car behaves once the rear steps out, rather than leaving you with one fixed setting for every corner. Dropping the ride height also lowers the E65’s centre of gravity, which reduces the amount of roll the long wheelbase generates mid-transition. The result is a 7 Series that holds an angle on command instead of drifting into one by accident.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This coilover is designed around one job: keeping a car’s body stable through fast, high-angle direction changes so the driver can hold a clean line rather than fight the chassis. The internal circuit uses a small-passage oil design paired with the 3 adjustment knobs, which is what allows such fine control over compression and rebound at speed. One trait worth knowing about: because the oil moves through those narrower passages, you may hear some noise when the car crosses a sharp bump – that’s the design doing its job, not a fault, and it’s a non-issue on the smooth circuit tarmac this kit is built for. It isn’t tuned around broken B-roads; it’s tuned around holding a car flat and predictable at the limit, lap after corner, on the surfaces drift and track events actually run on.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
