XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES E63 6 CYL 2004-2010

The E63’s long 2.89-metre wheelbase makes it an unusual base for drift work, but that same length is what gives a well set-up 6 Series such a controllable, progressive slide once the rear end is loaded correctly. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that requirement: keeping the body settled through the transition from grip to slip, so the angle you commit to is the angle you get rather than something the chassis renegotiates mid-corner.

For the 2004-2010 6 CYL E63, that means a kit tuned to hold a heavier GT coupe’s mass in check while you’re feeding in opposite lock, not a set-up borrowed from a lighter, shorter coupe. It’s built for drivers running this chassis in competitive drifting, where consistent body control matters more than outright ride comfort.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2010 BMW 6 Series E63

Lowering the E63 on this kit brings the centre of gravity down and shortens the amount of body roll the long-wheelbase coupe generates when you snap the rear loose, which is exactly the stability drift driving needs from a car this size. The 3 adjustment knobs let you set compression and rebound independently, so you can trim entry understeer without softening the rear enough to lose predictable slip angle mid-drift. Setting bump stroke correctly for this kit keeps the dampers working within their intended range even as you load and unload the rear axle repeatedly through a run, instead of topping or bottoming out and upsetting the car’s attitude. The result on this chassis is a 6 Series that transitions into a slide predictably and holds that angle rather than snapping through it.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically around drift’s demands rather than adapted from a circuit-racing or fast-road spec. The design is aimed at keeping the car’s body stable through high-speed direction changes so the driver can find and hold a clean angle, rather than fighting a chassis that’s still moving underneath them. Once the ride height is lowered and the bump stroke is set correctly for the car, the difference in how controllable the rear end becomes is immediately obvious. Each corner uses 3 external adjustment knobs, and the internal oil path runs through a deliberately small passage, a design choice that can produce a faint noise over larger bumps as oil moves through it. That’s a normal characteristic of this valving rather than a fault, and it’s the trade-off for the fine control the small-passage design gives you. XYZ built this kit with circuit tracks in mind, so everyday road imperfections aren’t part of its brief.

Fitment for the BMW 6 SERIES E63 (2004-2010)

This kit is specified for the BMW 6 Series E63, chassis code BM43, across the 2004 to 2010 production run for 6-cylinder variants. Confirm your car sits within this chassis code and year range before ordering, as coilover geometry is matched to this specific generation of the 6 Series.

If your E63 sits within this chassis code and year range, the Pro Racing Drift Spec kit can be specced to your car – configure yours below.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
