XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F83 M4 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2014-2020

The F83 M4’s factory electronic damping is built for road compliance and occasional track use, not for the sustained, high-slip-angle loading that competitive drifting puts through a chassis. Cancelling that system out and replacing it with a fully mechanical setup is the first job here – the second is giving the rear end a coilover that actually wants to move.

The Pro Racing Drift Spec kit for the M4 is built around exactly that brief. It is tuned for the moment the car steps out under power and needs to be caught, held, and reset without the platform fighting the driver.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 BMW 4 SERIES F83 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

With the electronic damping cancellation kit integrated, the M4’s suspension no longer depends on the factory adaptive dampers or their control module, so ride height and damping response come entirely from the coilover itself. That matters in a drift car where you need to lower the body predictably and keep the rear planted through transitions, not have a computer second-guessing wheel speed and yaw sensors mid-slide. The 3-way adjustment knobs let you set compression and rebound independently front to rear, which is how you get the rear end to break loose on your terms rather than the chassis’s. Once the ride height is dropped with the correct bump stroke set up, the car holds an angle more cleanly through a drift and resets faster when you countersteer out of it – the F83’s fairly heavy front end stops pushing wide mid-corner because the rear can be tuned to rotate the car for you. Fitting a dedicated drift-spec kit also means the M4’s cancellation kit hardware and the coilover’s valving are matched from the outset, rather than a road-biased coilover fighting a system it was never set up to talk to.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically for drift competition rather than adapted from a circuit or fast-road product. The valving and spring rate are set up to stabilise the body through sustained high-speed rotation, so the car can hold a clean angle instead of snapping or wallowing as weight transfers side to side. Ride height comes down with a bump stroke calculated for drift use, which is what lets the geometry keep working properly once the car is lowered rather than just looking the part. Each corner runs 3 adjustment knobs feeding a small-oil-hole passage design, and on rough sections of track that oil moving through the smaller passage can produce a faint noise under load – that’s a normal characteristic of this valving, not a fault. The kit is built for circuit and competition surfaces specifically, so bump-related noise on track is expected and shouldn’t be mistaken for wear.

Fitment for the BMW 4 SERIES F83 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2014-2020)

This kit is built for the F83-generation M4, chassis code BM95-C, covering the 2014 to 2020 model years, and is specified for cars fitted with the modified rear integration and the electronic damping cancellation kit rather than the standard factory adaptive setup. Confirm your car carries this cancellation kit before ordering, since the coilover’s valving assumes the electronic dampers are no longer in the control loop.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
