The long-stroke, long-spring combination is engineered to absorb chassis vibration from repeated high-speed compressions on broken roads, and to bear the extreme cornering loads a rally car generates without the spring going into coil bind or the shock topping out. None of the spring rate settings on this kit are theoretical – XYZ Racing’s own rally team tested them under competition conditions before they were locked into production spec, which is a different validation process to a road-biased coilover tuned on a smooth test track.
