Caliper render for this kit:

The Volkswagen Caddy carries its mass differently to almost anything else this brake range covers. A loaded Caddy Maxi, a van pressed into trade duty, or a five-up family run all pile weight onto a rear axle that left the factory specified for economy rather than repeated heavy stops. This XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Volkswagen Caddy goes straight at that weakness: rear-end braking that keeps its bite when the back of the van is full and the road turns downhill.
The kit is built around two-piece floating discs that shed unsprung weight and pull heat out of the braking surface faster than a solid factory rotor. It suits owners who actually work their Caddy, with heavy commuting, towing and load-lugging, rather than those treating the platform as a quiet commuter. This is a rear-axle upgrade meant to balance the front, not overwhelm it.
What this big brake kit does for your 2016-2026 Volkswagen Caddy
The benefit you feel first is a firmer, more repeatable pedal once the rear discs are doing their share of the work. Larger discs with a hollow-vane core run cooler, so brake fade arrives much later on long descents or under repeated load braking, the situation that punishes a heavily laden Caddy hardest. Three pad compounds let you set the rear axle to your duty cycle: Street for quiet, low-dust everyday running, Sport for harder road and light tow use with the heat range for occasional fast work, and Racing where the van sees genuinely abusive stop-start work. The result is a Caddy that pulls up square and predictable whether it is empty or carrying its rated load.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The Hollow rear brake kit takes its name from its disc, a two-piece floating rotor with a hollow-vane core that lowers rotating mass and routes airflow across the friction face for quicker heat rejection. It is a bolt-on rear-axle package matched specifically to the Caddy rather than a universal fitment, supplied as a left-and-right pair. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for harder use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Compound choice is the heart of the system: Street, Sport and Racing pads cover the full spread from parcel-shelf-light to fully loaded, so the same hardware can be tuned to how the van is actually used. Faces can be drilled or slotted at the same price, and calipers are offered in the included Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, premium polished-forged and candy finishes, or any Pantone as a custom colour, so the upgrade can be kept discreet behind the wheels or made a clear visual statement. The engineering brief is straightforward: give a working van a rear brake that resists fade and stays consistent under sustained heat.
Fitment for the Volkswagen Caddy (2016-2026)
This kit is built for the rear axle of the Volkswagen Caddy across the 2016-2026 span, covering the later fourth-generation Caddy through the MQB-based fifth-generation models. It is a rear-position pair and pairs naturally with a matched front upgrade. Confirm your exact model year and trim before ordering, as Caddy specification varies across the van, Maxi and passenger derivatives.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
