Caliper render for this kit:

The 1JZ-GTE tucked under a Tourer V’s bonnet was already making 280bhp in factory trim, and most JZX100s on UK roads have seen considerably more than that since. Toyota calibrated the original front brakes for a motorway-cruising executive saloon, not for the repeated hard stops the platform routinely encounters once owners discover what the inline-six responds to with a boost controller and a freer exhaust.
Closing that gap is the XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit for the Toyota Chaser JZX 100. Supplied with three pad compounds, it covers the full spread of JZX100 use cases, from the occasional spirited road user who wants a safety margin they don’t currently have, to the circuit-day regular who has already found the limits of what the factory hardware manages under sustained heat. Street is the quiet, low-dust default, Sport adds bite and heat range, and Racing is the dedicated track compound.
What this brake kit does for your 1996-2000 Toyota CHASER JZX 100
The JZX100’s kerb weight is not insignificant for a car so regularly pressed into performance duty, and the front brakes carry the bulk of the stopping load during any serious threshold-braking event. Fitting the XYZ Racing kit sharpens pedal response and improves bite consistency through repeated stop cycles, the kind of fade resistance that becomes apparent after the third or fourth heavy braking zone rather than the first. The hollow-vane, two-piece floating disc sheds heat faster and reduces rotating mass, and braided lines firm the pedal.
Three compounds make the kit coherent across different usage patterns. Street improves on the OEM experience without changing the car’s daily temperament. Sport suits track days and fast-road driving where caliper temperatures climb well above what a road pad handles cleanly. Racing is for sustained circuit sessions where thermal stability is the overriding requirement. That range matters on a platform where power outputs vary enormously, from near-stock 1JZ-GE cars to heavily boosted builds well beyond the factory figure. The caliper finish means the presentation through the wheel openings can match whatever direction the build has taken.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
XYZ Racing’s Hollow series targets platforms where the original brake specification has fallen behind the car’s actual performance potential. On the JZX100, that conversation starts the moment any meaningful work is done to the 1JZ: stopping ability needs to keep pace with power gains, and the front-axle hardware in this generation of Toyota leaves little headroom. The hollow-vane, two-piece floating disc reduces rotating inertia without sacrificing structural integrity, keeping the unsprung mass equation on the front axle working in favour of responsiveness. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, and braided lines are included.
Pad compound selection is a genuine engineering decision, not a cosmetic one. Street is calibrated for improved fade resistance and low dust on cars used predominantly on the road. Sport extends the thermal ceiling for cars that see regular track-day use alongside road miles. Racing delivers higher operating temperature and better sustained performance under repeated heavy braking, suited to Chasers used primarily as circuit tools. Painted caliper finishes Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black are included at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone at £150 and premium polished-forged and candy finishes also offered, completing a brake bay that can be as deliberate or as understated as the rest of the build.
Fitment for the Toyota CHASER JZX 100 (1996-2000)
This kit is confirmed for the Toyota Chaser JZX 100 platform, covering the full production run from 1996 to 2000. The JZX100 chassis designation spans the Tourer, Tourer S, and Tourer V trims that carried both the 1JZ-GE and 1JZ-GTE engines. If your car runs any non-standard front suspension components, verify the hub and caliper mounting specification against the supplied fitment data before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
