Caliper render for this kit:

The W209 CLK 350 carries its M272 V6 over the front axle and was set up from the factory for relaxed cruising rather than repeat heavy braking, which is exactly where the rear axle gets neglected. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Mercedes Benz CLK 350 W209 addresses the back end specifically, restoring the brake balance that a front-only upgrade leaves lopsided.
Two-piece floating discs cut rotating and unsprung mass at the rear, and the kit ships with a choice of Street, Sport or Racing pad compounds so you can match the rear bias to how you actually drive this 2005-2009 coupe: boulevard miles, fast-road B-roads, or the occasional track session.
What this brake kit does for your 2005-2009 Mercedes Benz CLK 350 W209
On a front-heavy GT that dives and tips toward understeer under braking, sorting the rear matters more than most owners expect. The two-piece floating disc reduces rotating mass at each rear corner, so the back axle settles faster and stays composed when you trail-brake into a turn. The Racing compound holds bite through repeated stops where tired factory rear pads glaze and the pedal goes long; the Street compound gives firmer, more progressive feel for daily use without a cold-bite penalty, with the Sport compound bridging the two for harder road and occasional track work. Run it alongside a matching front setup and the CLK rotates predictably instead of washing wide. Painted caliper finishes in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone available, let the hardware read as intent behind the wheels.
About the XYZ Racing Hollow rear brake kit
This is a rear-axle big brake upgrade dimensioned specifically for the W209 platform. The two-piece floating disc is the headline: its friction ring rides on an alloy bell to grow with heat without warping, and material is removed from the disc structure to drop rotating and unsprung mass while keeping the swept area a heavy GT coupe needs to shed heat. The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard. Disc, caliper and bracket are supplied as a fitment-matched set, so the geometry is correct for the rear of the CLK 350 rather than a generic kit shimmed to fit. Three pad compounds span how these cars get used: Street for refined road feel, Sport for a firmer fast-road bite and occasional track, and Racing for track and hard-driving duty where heat tolerance is the priority. Painted caliper colours run Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for a small upcharge and premium polished-forged or candy finishes; they are cosmetic only and do not change the braking hardware.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz CLK 350 W209 (2005-2009)
This kit is cut for the W209 CLK 350 built between 2005 and 2009 and fits the rear axle. It is a rear-position kit, so it complements a front brake upgrade rather than replacing one. Confirm your chassis code reads W209 and your build year falls inside the 2005-2009 span before you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
