Caliper render for this kit:

The E61 M5 Touring is a machine BMW built exactly once: an estate body carrying the S85 5.0-litre V10, revving freely to 8,250rpm with 507bhp on tap. That engine was conceived for the circuit, the Touring bodyshell is appreciably heavier than the E60 saloon, and the combined result is a car that can work its factory brakes harder than they were sized for during sustained fast driving. This XYZ Racing front brake kit addresses that directly, with a larger friction surface at the front axle, two-piece floating discs for better thermal recovery, and a choice of pad compounds that spans daily road use through to full track sessions. It fits as a matched pair of front calipers and discs.
Three compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, mean the same caliper assembly suits the owner who uses the M5 Touring as a rapid long-distance car and the one who books the Nürburgring tourist day. That spread matters here, because the E61 M5 genuinely asks different things of its brakes depending on how it is used.
What this brake kit does for your 2007-2010 Bmw 5 Series E61 M5
The S85 V10 builds momentum through the rev range in a way that flatters the driver until the next corner arrives, and the Touring body’s mass means the front brakes carry a greater energy load than on the lighter saloon. The hollow-vane rotor keeps disc temperatures lower through repeated hard stops by drawing airflow through the disc face, widening the window before fade appears. Reduced rotating mass at the front also helps the chassis settle under trail-braking and keeps brake balance predictable.
Street is the quiet, low-dust compound for daily and long-distance miles. Sport lifts bite and heat range for fast-road work with the occasional track day. Racing is designed for the high operating temperatures generated by sustained circuit use in a car of this weight and output. Caliper colours start with the no-cost painted options of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black. A Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, and premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver, or candy Teal, Blue, Red, and Orange, are there for builds that earn open-spoke wheels.
About the Hollow brake kit
The caliper is a hollow-body forged unit as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for committed track use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C, and carries a two-year warranty. Two-piece floating discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and braided lines hold a firm pedal under heat that would make the OE rubber hoses swell. Centre bell upgrades are offered two-tone in five anodized colours or in titanium, all selectable when you order. The front-axle fitment is specific to the E61 M5 platform.
Fitment for the Bmw 5 Series E61 M5 (2007-2010)
This kit is specified for the E61 M5 Touring, BMW’s fifth-generation 5 Series in estate body and M specification, covering the production run from 2007 through to 2010. Confirm your chassis designation is E61 before ordering, as the E60 M5 saloon of the same period shares the S85 drivetrain but the front brake geometry differs between the two body variants.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
