XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Tesla MODEL 3 (4WD) 2017-2024

The Model 3 Dual Motor doesn’t need a launch strategy built around boost or clutch engagement – its front and rear motors deliver full torque from a dead stop, which means the only thing standing between a clean 0-60 run and a wheel-spinning mess is how fast the chassis can load the tyres. XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover is built around that exact problem: getting weight onto the contact patch in the same instant the power arrives, not half a second later.

For a 2017-2024 Model 3 (4WD) running at the strip, that instant is everything. There’s no turbo lag to mask a slow-loading suspension, so any hesitation in weight transfer shows up directly as wheelspin and a soft 60-foot time.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2024 Tesla Model 3 (4WD)

This kit is set up specifically to manage front-to-rear weight transfer under a hard, instant launch rather than the sustained cornering loads a track-day coilover is tuned for. On a car with a low-mounted battery pack and dual-motor AWD, that means getting the rear (and front) axles compressing in unison the moment torque hits the tarmac, so both motors can put power down without breaking traction. The damping and spring rates are biased toward launch-phase control rather than mid-corner body control, which is the trade-off you want if the car’s job on a given day is a straight line, not a lap. Ride height and preload are adjustable so you can dial in a static setup that pre-loads the rear before the light goes green, then hold that platform through the run. It’s a single-purpose setup – this is not a dual-duty road-and-track kit, and it shouldn’t be treated as one.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing built this range specifically for 0-400m style drag racing across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, which is exactly the spread the Model 3 Dual Motor sits inside. The core idea is adjustable front/rear weight bias: the setup lets you shift compression toward the driven wheels the instant the car leaves the line, forcing more contact-patch pressure onto the drive tyres and cutting down the idle spin that costs a run before the car’s even moved. On the Model 3’s dual-motor layout, that translates to getting both axles’ torque onto the road rather than into wheelspin, which is where a stability advantage over a stock setup actually comes from – not outright grip, but how quickly and consistently that grip is available at launch. It’s a construction aimed at repeatable runs rather than one good pass, which is the point of a dedicated drag setup over a compromise kit.

Fitment for the Tesla MODEL 3 (4WD) (2017-2024)

Built for the Tesla Model 3 (4WD), chassis code TE02, covering the 2017 to 2024 model years. This is a Dual Motor-specific application – confirm your Model 3 is the 4WD/Dual Motor variant before ordering, as suspension geometry and mounting differ from the single-motor RWD car.

Built around how the Model 3’s Dual Motor actually puts power down, not adapted from a road kit – configure yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
