XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru LEGACY BN/BS 4WD 2014-2020

Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel-drive layout sends torque to all four corners at once, so a BN/BS Legacy set up for drift work has to solve a problem a rear-drive car never faces: getting the back axle to step out and hold a locked angle while the front axle is still pulling. The Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that problem, not around a generic lowering-and-stiffening brief.

Where a fast-road kit chases ride comfort, this set-up is tuned to keep the Legacy’s body flat and predictable the moment you commit to an angle, so the car reads as one unit through the transition rather than see-sawing on its springs while the AWD system hunts for grip.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 Subaru Legacy

Drop the ride height correctly on a BN/BS Legacy and you shift the car’s roll centre and lower its centre of gravity, which matters more on this chassis than most because the symmetrical AWD hardware already sits low and adds mass over the front and centre of the car. The 3 external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound independently at each corner as you find the point where the Legacy breaks traction cleanly rather than washing into understeer. Set correctly, the reduced body roll keeps the car’s attitude consistent run to run, so the angle you set at turn-in is the angle you’re still holding at the clip. Because the kit is built around a proper bump stroke rather than just a shorter spring, you get that lowered stance without the front axle bottoming out mid-transition, which on an AWD platform carrying extra driveline weight is where a lot of drift set-ups fall apart.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically for drift use, not a track-day kit relabelled for the discipline. The internal valving and the 3-knob external adjustment are there to help you hold the car’s body still while the rear steps out, so you can find and repeat a precise angle rather than fighting a chassis that’s still settling. XYZ Racing pairs that adjustment range with a bump-stroke calculation that lets you run a genuinely lowered ride height without losing the suspension travel a drift car needs when the surface isn’t perfectly smooth – hit a bump mid-slide and you may hear a faint noise through the small oil passage in the knob housing as fluid moves through it; that’s the valving doing its job, not a fault. The kit is built around circuit and drift-track use, where consistent, repeatable damping across a session matters more than outright ride comfort.

Fitment for the Subaru Legacy BN/BS 4WD (2014-2020)

Built for the BN/BS-chassis Legacy in 4WD form across the 2014 to 2020 production run, covering the symmetrical all-wheel-drive drivetrain fitted throughout this generation. Confirm your build date falls inside this window before ordering, as Subaru’s chassis-code changes across model years can affect mounting points.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
