XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Seat LEON 5F φ50 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) Modified Rear Integrated 2012-2026

Straight-line launches punish a front-wheel-drive platform like the Leon 5F harder than any circuit ever will: all the load transfers rearward in the first tenth of a second, and a stock rear multi-link setup simply isn’t set up to plant that shift usefully. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover is built around that one problem – getting the Leon 5F’s weight to move backward fast and stay there long enough for the front tyres to hook up.

Unlike a road or track coilover tuned for balanced cornering, this is a single-purpose kit for 0-400m runs, whether the Leon in question is running its stock front-drive layout or has been converted to send power elsewhere. It’s a launch tool first, and everything about the spec reflects that.

What this coilover does for your 2012-2026 Seat LEON

On the strip, the immediate difference is how much more front-tyre compression you get off the line. The damping and spring settings are built to let the chassis load the front contact patch harder and faster during launch, cutting down the wheel idle time that costs a Leon 5F its 60-foot number. That translates directly to less wheelspin and a more repeatable launch from run to run. Because the setup is tuned specifically around weight transfer rather than mid-corner body control, the Leon settles into its transferred-weight stance instead of fighting it, which is exactly what you want when the only corner that matters is the one at the end of the strip.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing designed this range specifically for 0-400m drag work across front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive platforms, which matters because a Leon 5F’s chassis behaves very differently under launch than a corner-focused fast-road car. The core idea is deliberately shifting front-to-rear weight distribution the instant the car launches, forcing the transmission’s driven tyre – the fronts, on a standard Leon – into greater compression against the tarmac. More compression means less idle spin at the contact patch, and less idle spin means a more stable, more consistent car through the first few metres of a run. The setup is built around this specific transfer behaviour rather than general ride comfort or cornering balance, which is why it reads differently to XYZ’s road and track-oriented coilover ranges.

Fitment for the Seat LEON (2012-2026)

Built for the Leon 5F, chassis code SE23-3, across the full 2012-2026 production run, on cars with the rear multi-link suspension layout. This is a rear-integrated modified spec, so confirm your Leon 5F retains the multi-link rear arrangement referenced in the chassis code before ordering.

What buyers also search for

  • Seat Leon 5F drag racing coilover kit for improved 60-foot times
  • Seat Leon 5F suspension setup for 0-400m straight-line launches
  • SE23-3 chassis coilovers for front-wheel-drive drag applications
  • Leon 5F weight-transfer tuning for reduced wheelspin off the line
  • Multi-link rear coilover options for Seat Leon drag builds

This is a dedicated strip setup, not a dual-purpose road kit, so match it to how the car is actually run – configure yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Iron top mountIronIRONIron upper mount — a heavy-duty housing built to take sustained load where a stronger top mount is required.
