XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD 2007-2026

Nissan’s R35 GT-R doesn’t drift like a normal car. The ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system can send the majority of drive torque rearward under load, letting a chassis nobody expects to slide step out on command – provided the suspension geometry cooperates with that rear bias instead of fighting it. That’s the specific problem the Drift Spec coilover is built to solve.

For competitive drifting in a 2007-2026 R35 GTR 4WD, ride height and bump stroke matter as much as spring rate. Get the geometry wrong and the ATTESA system’s rear torque bias fights a chassis still sitting nose-heavy over the VR38DETT twin-turbo V6. Get it right and the car holds an angle the way a proper rear-drive drift car does, with more traction coming out the other side of the transition.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2026 Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD

Lower the R35 on this kit with the correct bump stroke set, and the car’s centre of gravity drops without robbing the suspension of the travel it needs mid-slide. That’s the detail the vendor spec leans on directly: proper bump stroke after lowering is what keeps drift control in excellent condition rather than bottoming the chassis the moment weight transfers onto the outside wheels through a transition. On a car pushing close to 1,740kg with the VR38DETT sat ahead of the front axle, body control under load is the difference between a clean angle and a nose that pushes wide. The kit is built to stabilise that body movement at speed, holding the car settled through turn-in so the driver can commit to an angle instead of catching a wallowing chassis. Ride height and damping work together here – lower the car without matching the geometry to it, and the suspension starts binding against the ATTESA system’s rear-biased torque delivery instead of working with it.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec platform specifically around drift competition rather than adapting a road or circuit kit for the discipline. The core aim is stabilising the body through high-speed direction changes so the car holds a clean line and a consistent angle instead of pitching or rolling mid-transition. Getting there means pairing a deliberately lowered ride height with a bump stroke calculated to match it – drop the car without recalculating stroke and you lose the travel that keeps the tyres loaded through a slide, which is the failure mode this kit is built to avoid. XYZ Racing’s own framing is straightforward: get the ride height and stroke matched correctly and drift control lands in excellent condition. It’s a kit built around one job – giving a car sideways at speed a chassis that stays predictable underneath the driver, not a general lowering spring dropped into a coilover housing.

Fitment for the Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD (2007-2026)

This Drift Spec kit is specified for the Nissan SKYLINE R35 GTR 4WD, chassis code NI47, across the full 2007-2026 production run. Confirm your build year falls within that span before ordering – the R35 saw multiple running changes over its life, but this kit covers the standard 4WD platform throughout.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
