XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Mitsubishi EVO10 4WD 2008-2016

The EVO10’s Super All-Wheel Control system pushes drive to all four corners at speeds gravel stages rarely see on tarmac, through a chassis built to swap ends on demand – exactly the moment a standard damper gives up. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover is built around that reality: a set-up for drivers taking the Mitsubishi EVO10 4WD onto loose surfaces, where compression events arrive in sudden bursts rather than smooth cycles.

Where a Top Sport or Super Sport kit is tuned around consistent tarmac grip, this is a rally-specific application: long-travel damping and spring hardware suited to sandstone, snow and silt rather than a smooth circuit surface. It’s the spec for an EVO10 built to survive a full gravel rally, not just look the part on a driveway.

What this coilover kit does for your 2008-2016 Mitsubishi EVO10 4WD

On the EVO10, the inverted-tube damper body sits lower in the strut and keeps the piston shielded from flying stone and mud, exactly what a gravel stage throws at the front corners under hard braking into a hairpin. The long-stroke design gives the AYC-managed rear axle room to move as the car lands off crests, instead of topping or bottoming the damper and unsettling the Active Centre Differential’s torque split mid-corner. Longer springs absorb the repeated small-amplitude vibration of a washboard surface without transmitting it straight into the S-AWC electronics and your hands on the wheel, so you keep committing to a line instead of reacting to it. Through a fast, off-camber gravel corner the extra stroke and spring travel let the tyre stay in contact with the ground for longer, which matters more on loose surfaces than outright spring rate ever will.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally is XYZ Racing’s damper built specifically for rally and rallycross use, disciplines the brand treats as the toughest test any of its hardware faces – rougher on components than any circuit surface. It uses an inverted-tube layout, mounting the damper the opposite way round to a conventional strut so the more vulnerable parts sit higher and better protected as terrain shifts from sandstone to snow to silt underneath the car. Stroke length and spring length are both extended well beyond a road-going coilover, giving the damper room to soak up chassis vibration from a stage surface and to keep working when the car is launched off a crest at speed. That extra travel is also what lets the kit absorb the extreme lateral G-force of a gravel corner without the spring or damper running out of movement mid-turn. XYZ Racing sets the spring rates on every Gravel Rally kit using data from its own rally racing team, rather than road-car defaults, so the rates reflect what’s actually needed to keep a car planted over a full stage rather than a single track lap.

Fitment for the Mitsubishi EVO10 4WD (2008-2016)

This kit is built for the Mitsubishi EVO10 4WD, chassis code MT20, across the full 2008 to 2016 production run. It’s specified for the standard 4WD drivetrain layout that platform shipped with throughout, so confirm your car sits within that year range before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
