XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Mitsubishi EVO7-9 4WD 2002-2008

The MT19-chassis Evo’s four-wheel-drive system loads all four corners under power in a way a two-wheel-drive rival simply doesn’t, and stock dampers give up quickly once you start stringing laps together. XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master coilover exists specifically for that scenario: sustained circuit lap-time work where the suspension has to keep doing its job on lap ten the same way it did on lap one.

This is the top damper in the range, built for drivers who already know their EVO7-9 well enough to notice when a chassis stops behaving consistently under repeated hard cornering. It replaces the compromises baked into the factory setup with a unit designed around one job only: holding its line session after session.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2008 Mitsubishi Evo7-9 4WD

With 9,720 individual damping combinations across the three external adjustment knobs, you can set compression and rebound separately front and rear – useful on a 4WD platform where front and rear axles are already fighting different battles under power and braking. That range lets you chase out the specific pitch and roll behaviour this chassis shows mid-corner rather than accepting one compromise setting for everything. The monotube-style internals are built to resist the heat and pressure spikes that come from back-to-back sessions, so damping force stays consistent instead of fading as oil temperatures climb. For an EVO7-9 owner running track days seriously, that consistency across a session matters more than a single fast lap.

About the Circuit Master coilover

XYZ Racing built the Circuit Master as the flagship of its Racing Spec line, developed and run by XYZ’s own racing teams across circuits internationally before it reached retail. The headline figure is 9,720 possible damping combinations, delivered through three separate adjustment knobs – enough range to move from a forgiving fast-road setting to a stiff, circuit-specific one without swapping components. One quirk worth knowing: the small oil-passage design around those knobs can produce a faint noise when the car crosses larger bumps at speed, a side effect of the fine metering that makes the wide adjustment range possible in the first place, and it doesn’t indicate a fault. Because the unit is built around smooth circuit surfaces rather than broken B-roads, that noise simply isn’t a factor in its intended environment.

Fitment for the Mitsubishi Evo7-9 4WD (2002-2008)

Built for the MT19 chassis code covering the Evo7, Evo8 and Evo9 4WD models produced between 2002 and 2008. Confirm your specific model year and chassis code against your V5C before ordering, as coilover geometry is matched to this generation’s 4WD subframe and mounting points.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
