XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz E CLASS W212 4 CYL 4WD 2009-2016

The W212 E-Class was never built with drift angle in mind, and that is exactly why a 4WD example on Pro Racing Drift Spec coilovers is such an interesting proposition. This is a heavy, long-wheelbase saloon with power going to all four corners, and getting it to rotate on command needs a suspension setup that fights the chassis’s natural stability rather than working with it.

XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec kit is built for exactly that job: holding the body flat and predictable through a committed, high-speed turn-in so the driver can hold an angle rather than fight for one.

What this coilover does for your 2009-2016 Mercedes Benz E Class W212 4 CYL 4WD

Drop the ride height correctly and set the bump stroke properly, and the W212 stops wallowing through transitions the way it does on the factory setup. Body control under high-speed cornering improves noticeably, which is the difference between the car settling into an angle and the chassis pitching mid-slide. The three external adjustment knobs let you tune compression and rebound independently front and rear, useful on a 4WD platform where front and rear axles are both trying to put power down through the turn. Lowering the centre of gravity also sharpens initial turn-in response on a car whose factory ride height was set for comfort, not competition. None of this turns a W212 into a lightweight RWD drift car – but it gives the chassis a fighting chance at holding a controlled angle instead of understeering wide.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This kit is purpose-engineered around drift-specific demands rather than general track use. The valving is tuned to stabilise the body during high-speed direction changes, so the car holds a cleaner, more controllable angle once the driver commits to it. Correctly set ride height and bump stroke are central to how the kit works – get both dialled correctly and the improvement in drift control is immediately obvious from the driver’s seat. The three adjustment knobs use a small-oil-hole internal design; on rougher sections of a circuit this can produce minor noise as oil passes through the narrower passage, which is a normal characteristic of this valving rather than a fault. XYZ Racing built this specifically for circuit and competition use, so occasional noise over bumps is an accepted trade-off for the control it delivers at speed.

Get the ride height and bump stroke set right on your W212 and this kit changes how the car behaves under angle – configure yours below.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
