XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W204/S204 6 CYL 2007-2014

The W204 C-Class’s front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout – shared across the S204 estate – gives it the weight bias drift builds are built around, but the factory suspension geometry was tuned for autobahn stability, not sustained oversteer. Getting the nose to tuck and the rear to break loose predictably, then holding that slide through a transition, asks more of the chassis than stock dampers and springs can deliver.

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover replaces that stock geometry with a setup built specifically around competitive drifting, where body control mid-slide matters as much as outright grip. For a 6-cylinder W204 or S204 running a locked diff and clutch-kicking into corners, that means a chassis that holds its line instead of wallowing as weight shifts from lock to lock.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2014 Mercedes Benz C CLASS W204/S204 6 CYL

Drop the ride height and firm up the spring and damper rates on a W204/S204 and the body stops rolling into the outside wheel mid-transition, which is what lets you commit to an angle instead of correcting for it. That stability at high yaw is the whole point of a drift-specific setup: less body movement means the rear end telegraphs grip loss earlier and more consistently, so initiating and holding a slide becomes repeatable rather than a guess. With the 6-cylinder engine’s extra weight over the front axle on this chassis, keeping that mass under control through direction changes has a direct effect on how quickly the car rotates and how easily you can catch it. Lowering the car also drops the centre of gravity, which reduces the load transfer that upsets a slide angle mid-corner.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing engineered this coilover around one job: stabilising the car’s body during high-speed, high-angle cornering so the driver can hold a clean line rather than fight the chassis. The design targets the specific way weight moves under a car mid-drift, controlling that movement so the rear axle’s slip angle stays where the driver put it instead of drifting further than intended. Ride height comes down through a proper bump stroke calculation rather than a flat drop, so the suspension retains usable travel once it’s lowered – a detail that matters when a car is loaded up hard through a transition and needs the wheel to keep working rather than topping out. The result, on the W204/S204 platform, is a suspension that holds the car’s attitude through a slide instead of letting the body dictate it.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C CLASS W204/S204 6 CYL (2007-2014)

This kit is built for the 6-cylinder Mercedes Benz C-Class W204 saloon and S204 estate, chassis code ME06, across the 2007-2014 production run. Confirm your engine variant against the 6-cylinder specification before ordering, as 4-cylinder W204/S204 models use a different coilover spec.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
