XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Hyundai IX35 4WD 2009-2015

The IX35’s raised crossover stance and 4WD driveline mass sit at odds with what competitive drifting actually needs from a chassis: a low, controllable centre of gravity and a rear end that will step out predictably rather than lurch. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built specifically to correct that mismatch.

Once the ride height comes down and bump stroke is set correctly, the IX35 stops behaving like a soft-riding SUV and starts holding an angle the way a purpose-built drift car does. This is a kit for drivers who already know their car needs more than a lowering spring to compete.

What this coilover does for your 2009-2015 Hyundai IX35 4WD

Dropping the IX35’s ride height on this coilover lowers the roll centre and cuts the body movement that normally works against a driver trying to hold a controlled slide through a high-speed corner. The 3-way adjustment knobs let you tune compression and rebound independently front to rear, which matters on a 4WD platform where power delivery to both axles changes how the car wants to rotate. Correct bump stroke setup is the key variable here: get it right and the IX35’s body stays settled while the rear steps out on command instead of snapping. Because the internal oil path runs through a small-hole design at each knob, you may hear minor noise over sharp bumps – that’s the valving doing its job, not a fault, and it’s a known characteristic of this design on circuit surfaces. The result is a heavy crossover that finally corners with the composure a drift car needs, without the vague, disconnected feel the IX35 has from the factory.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This coilover was designed from the outset for drift competition rather than adapted from a road or track-day product. The internal architecture uses a small oil-hole passage at each of the 3 adjustment knobs, a deliberate choice that keeps damping response consistent as the car is worked hard through repeated high-angle transitions rather than fading or going inconsistent lap to lap. That same small-passage design is why sharper bumps can produce a faint noise through the damper – XYZ Racing built the unit around circuit-track use, where this is a non-issue rather than a defect. The core engineering target is stabilising the vehicle body during high-speed direction changes, so the car can be pushed into a controlled slide and held there rather than fighting the driver. For an IX35 pressed into drift duty, that’s the difference between a car that’s merely lowered and one that’s actually set up for the discipline.

Fitment for the Hyundai IX35 4WD (2009-2015)

This kit is built to the HY15-1 chassis code, covering the Hyundai IX35 4WD across the 2009 to 2015 model years. Confirm your build date falls within this range and that your car is the 4WD variant before ordering, as coilover geometry differs between drivetrain variants on this platform.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
