XYZ Racing Super Sport Coilovers — Hyundai GENESIS COUPE BK 2.0T (Modified Rear Integrated) 2011-2014

The Genesis Coupe BK never left the factory with a true coilover at the back axle. On the 2.0T, the rear spring and damper sit as separate units, so this Super Sport kit is built as a modified, rear-integrated design that combines both into a single strut assembly at each corner. That alone tightens up the one part of the BK’s chassis that has always lagged behind its front end: rear stability under trail-braking and mid-corner load transfer.

For a rear-drive, turbocharged coupe that’s light over the nose relative to the 3.8 V6 version, that rear-end control matters more than front spring rate. The Super Sport is XYZ Racing’s fast-road and weekend-track spec, built to hold that improved rear geometry together through repeated hard use without needing a full track-only setup underneath a car most owners still drive to work.

What this coilover kit does for your 2011-2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 2.0T

Ride height is fully adjustable, so you can drop the BK’s stance and lower its centre of gravity without resorting to cut springs or a stack of spacers. The 36-way damping adjustment lets you run the front and rear ends independently soft enough to absorb British B-roads and speed bumps, then firm the compression and rebound up before a track day without swapping parts. Because the kit addresses the rear’s separate spring-and-damper layout directly, body control through direction changes improves noticeably over stock, particularly under trail-braking into a corner where the factory setup lets the rear step wide. Turn-in sharpens as the standing ride height comes down and the roll centre corrects, and the coupe holds a line more consistently once the suspension is loaded.

About the Super Sport coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Super Sport line to solve a specific complaint: stiff coilovers that transmit every seam and pothole straight into the cabin. The damper valving here is set up to absorb rough tarmac and speed bumps rather than fight them, while the 36-way adjustment gives you the range to retune the car for a smoother commute or a firmer track session on the same set of dampers. Ride height adjustment is built into the design rather than added as an afterthought, so the car can be set low for a weekend without compromising the working stroke of the damper. It’s the same reasoning that makes the Super Sport suitable for daily driving and weekend racing on the same kit, rather than forcing owners to choose one or the other.

Fitment for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 2.0T (2011-2014)

This kit is specified for the BK-chassis Genesis Coupe with the 2.0T Theta II turbo four, covering the 2011 to 2014 model years. The rear units are the modified, integrated-spring design noted above, replacing the factory’s separate spring-and-damper arrangement rather than bolting a conventional coilover onto an unmodified mount. Confirm your Genesis Coupe carries the 2.0T drivetrain before ordering, as the 3.8 V6 uses a different rear subframe and mounting geometry.
