XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Honda CIVIC TYPE-R FN2 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2007-2011

The FN2’s rally-derived front-drive layout was never built to soak up rutted gravel or compressed snow at speed, and standard-length dampers run out of shaft travel exactly when a mid-corner dip catches the front axle. The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover fixes that with extended-travel construction front and rear, giving the FN2 the buffer distance to absorb the sudden, repeated compressions that stage and rallycross surfaces throw at a hatchback chassis never designed for them.

This is a rally-and-rallycross-specific build, not a repackaged circuit unit. The longer stroke keeps the wheel loaded and searching for grip on loose or frozen surfaces where a shorter-travel track coilover would bottom out or unload the tyre entirely, and that matters most on an FN2 already carrying front-heavy weight distribution into every braking zone.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Honda CIVIC TYPE-R FN2 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Extended front and rear travel means the FN2’s front axle stays planted through compressions and crests instead of skipping across them, which is exactly where a front-driven rally car loses time and traction. A larger reservoir of suspension oil and nitrogen gas across the shock keeps damping consistent even as oil temperature climbs on a long special stage – where a smaller-volume damper would fade and go soft partway through a run. The 3-way adjustment lets you retune compression and rebound between a fast gravel stage and a compacted snow event without swapping hardware, useful given how differently the FN2 loads its outside front corner on each surface. Because the increased fluid volume is engineered to resist oil breakdown under sustained heat, the FN2 holds its damping character from the start of a stage to the finish rather than degrading lap by lap.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built this unit specifically for rally and rallycross use, where sustained big-hit compressions demand more from a damper than a smooth circuit ever will. The front and rear units run longer travel than the standard XYZ coilover range, creating extra buffer distance so the chassis stays composed when the surface drops away beneath a wheel. Internally, the shock carries an increased volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas, which lowers running temperature and keeps the damping curve stable through long stages rather than letting it fade as oil overheats. The 3-way adjustment knobs meter oil through a deliberately small passage – on a rough or heavily rutted surface this can produce a faint noise as fluid moves through that restriction, which is a normal characteristic of the design rather than a fault. None of that changes the coilover’s job: this is a unit built to survive repeated abuse on loose and low-grip surfaces, not to be quiet in a car park.

Fitment for the Honda CIVIC TYPE-R FN2 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2007-2011)

Built for the FN2-generation Civic Type-R, chassis code HN25-1, covering the 2007 to 2011 production run. This listing is the Modified Rr Integrated configuration – confirm your car matches this rear-end specification before ordering, as it differs from the standard FN2 fitment.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
