XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES E64 6 CYL 2004-2010

The E64 6 Series carries a long nose and a kerb weight that pushes 1.7 tonnes, so getting the rear to break traction on command and hold an angle takes more than throttle and a handbrake. The Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that specific problem: controlling weight transfer through a big, heavy GT platform the moment you ask it to rotate.

This is a purpose-built drift setup, not a fast-road kit pressed into service. Lowering the E64’s ride height changes the roll centre and how the rear subframe loads under lateral g, and this coilover is tuned around that shift so the chassis stays predictable mid-slide rather than snapping once grip lets go.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2010 Bmw 6 Series

Drop the ride height correctly with the available bump stroke and the E64’s body control through a committed turn changes noticeably – less of the float that a big coupe naturally carries into a drift entry, and a rear end that responds to steering and throttle inputs instead of just weight transfer. The 3 adjustment knobs let you set compression and rebound independently front and rear, so you can bias the car toward a looser rear for initiation or firm it up for sustained mid-corner angle. Because the internals are designed around continuous high-slip-angle loading rather than one-off cornering events, the damping stays consistent as you string runs together, which matters on a chassis this heavy where inertia punishes anything that fades. Expect sharper transitions between grip and slide, and a car that telegraphs the moment before the rear lets go instead of surprising you with it.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built this coilover specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a circuit-day product. The 3-knob adjustment layout uses a small-oil-hole design to fine-tune damping response, and that same fine passage is what you’ll occasionally hear as a faint noise over big bumps – a by-product of the precision, not a fault, and not something you’ll notice mid-run. The unit is set up to stabilise the car’s body through high-speed, high-angle turns so the rear holds a clean line rather than stepping out unpredictably. It’s built for circuit and drift-track surfaces specifically, with the damping curve calibrated for the repeated hard compressions a drift session throws at a car rather than a single quick lap.

Fitment for the Bmw 6 Series E64 (2004-2010)

Built for the 6-cylinder E64-chassis 6 Series produced between 2004 and 2010. Confirm your chassis code reads BM45 before ordering, as coilover geometry is matched to this specific generation of the 6 Series and won’t carry across to other E-series BMWs.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
