XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES G82 M4 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2021-2026

The G82 M4’s rear-biased weight transfer and S58 twin-turbo torque make loose-surface traction the limiting factor the moment tarmac gives way to gravel or snow, and that’s precisely the gap XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built to close. This is a rally-and-rallycross-oriented damper, not a repurposed circuit unit – longer front and rear travel is specified from the outset to soak up the compressions and crests that a closed-road stage or snow-covered special stage throws at a two-tonne coupe.

On a car with the M4’s power-to-grip ratio, that extra stroke matters more than outright stiffness. It buys the rear axle room to move before it tops or bottoms out, keeping the contact patch loaded through the kind of mid-corner ruts and camber changes tarmac-biased coilovers simply weren’t designed to absorb.

What this coilover does for your 2021-2026 Bmw 4 Series G82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Fitted to the G82’s modified rear end, this kit’s job is stability under sustained abuse rather than outright lap time. The extended suspension oil and nitrogen gas capacity is the key figure here: a larger fluid and gas volume gives the shock more thermal mass to work with, so oil temperature stays in its working range even after long, hard stage running rather than spiking and fading the damping halfway through a run. For the M4’s rear-drive chassis, that means the back axle keeps behaving predictably from the first bump to the last, instead of the damping going soft as the car works. The 3-way adjustment lets you bias compression and rebound toward high-speed compliance for rough gravel or a firmer, more controlled setting for packed snow, and travel at both ends is specifically lengthened to give the G82’s suspension the buffer distance a low-travel road coilover can’t offer. Expect the car to sit and track straighter over crests and washboard surfaces where a stiffer, shorter-travel setup would skip and unsettle the rear.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built this damper around rally and rallycross use rather than adapting a circuit product for rough surfaces. Front and rear travel are both extended over the standard Pro Racing range, giving the shock a genuinely bigger working window before it runs out of stroke on a big compression. The larger internal reserve of suspension oil and nitrogen gas is the core engineering decision: more fluid volume means more capacity to shed heat, so the shock is less likely to cook its oil and lose consistency during extended, high-load use. The 3 external adjustment knobs use a small-oil-hole metering design for fine control at low shaft speeds; on rough, high-frequency inputs like repeated bumps, this can produce a faint noise from the oil passing through the restricted passage, which is a normal characteristic of the valving rather than a fault. The unit is calibrated for circuit and stage environments where bump absorption, not outright stiffness, is the priority.

Fitment for the Bmw 4 Series G82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2021-2026)

Built for the G82-generation BMW M4, chassis code BM118-1, covering model years 2021 to 2026. This kit is specified for the modified rear-integrated configuration, so confirm your car matches that rear-end spec before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
