XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES G82 M4 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2021-2026

The G82 M4’s S58 twin-turbo straight-six puts down enough torque to snap the rear end loose the instant you lift or feather the throttle mid-corner, and on a car this wide and this heavy, controlling that slide angle asks more of the rear suspension than a fast-road setup can give. The Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built specifically around that brief: holding body control at high yaw angles rather than simply keeping the car flat.

For the G82’s modified rear-integrated layout, that means a chassis that stays composed as you countersteer and reapply throttle, not one that snaps between grip states. This is a build for drivers running the G82 M4 in competitive drifting, where the suspension has to do a different job to a track-day setup and needs to be tuned accordingly.

What this coilover does for your 2021-2026 BMW 4 SERIES G82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Lowering the ride height on the G82 with this kit pulls the centre of gravity down and lets you set a bump stroke that keeps the tyres loaded correctly through a slide rather than unsettling the car over kerbs and track undulations. The 3-way adjustment knobs give you separate control over compression and rebound at each corner, so you can tune the rear end to break traction predictably on entry and hold an angle through the middle of the corner instead of snapping in and out of grip. On a chassis carrying the S58’s power and the G82’s kerb weight, that adjustability is what turns a slide from a guess into something repeatable, run after run. Because the setup is built around bump absorption at a lowered ride height, kerb strikes and track surface changes that would upset a stock or fast-road coilover get soaked up instead of translating into a spin.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This coilover is built specifically for drift competition rather than adapted from a circuit or fast-road design. The internal layout is engineered to keep the body stable through high-speed direction changes so the car holds a clean, controllable angle rather than snapping unpredictably. Ride height can be dropped significantly while retaining a bump stroke calibrated for drift use, which is where the real tuning gain sits – get that wrong and the car either won’t rotate cleanly or bottoms out over rough sections. Each corner uses a 3-knob adjuster design with a deliberately small internal oil passage; on rougher surfaces you may hear a faint noise as damper oil moves through that passage under load. That’s a function of the fine-tuned damping circuit, not a fault, and it’s a characteristic XYZ Racing designed the kit around for track and competition surfaces rather than pothole-strewn B-roads.

Fitment for the BMW 4 SERIES G82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2021-2026)

Built for the BMW 4 Series G82 M4 with the modified rear-integrated configuration, chassis code BM118-1, covering model years 2021 to 2026. Confirm your car matches this exact rear-end specification before ordering, as the modified integration changes mounting points from the standard G82 rear setup.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
