XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F82 M4 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2014-2020

The F82 M4’s S55 twin-turbo straight-six sends its power through a chassis tuned from the factory for smooth tarmac, not loose gravel or packed snow – geometry that needs a fundamentally different damper setup once you take the car off circuit surfaces and onto stage roads or rallycross stages. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover, built for this BM93-coded 2014-2020 4 Series M4 with the modified rear-integrated mounting this build uses, swaps circuit-focused short-travel damping for a longer-stroke setup designed to keep the wheels tracking the surface rather than skipping across it.

Where a standard track coilover chases minimal body roll on smooth asphalt, this Pro Racing Gravel/Snow spec is built around extended suspension oil and nitrogen gas capacity, giving the dampers more thermal headroom to work through long stages without the oil degrading. Three external adjustment knobs let you shift the compression and rebound balance as surface grip changes from gravel to hard-pack to snow.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 BMW 4 Series F82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Longer front and rear travel gives the F82’s suspension a bigger buffer before it runs out of stroke over compressions and crests, which matters when a loose surface throws unpredictable inputs at the chassis that tarmac never would. The extended oil and nitrogen gas volume means the shock absorbers run cooler over extended stage distances, so damping force stays consistent instead of fading as the fluid heats up on a long run. With three adjustment knobs you can firm up compression for a fast, hard-packed stage or soften the rebound for loose gravel where you want the wheel following the ground rather than skipping over it. The rear-integrated mounting on this build is matched to the coilover’s geometry, so the extra travel actually translates into usable wheel movement rather than binding against the standard mounting points.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built this coilover specifically around rally and rallycross use, where the surface changes from lap to lap and the suspension has to absorb far bigger, far less predictable hits than anything a circuit throws up. The longer front and rear travel is the headline change from a road or circuit-spec coilover, giving the chassis more room to move before the damper tops or bottoms out over a crest or into a compression. Internally, XYZ Racing increased the volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas the shock carries, which slows the rate at which the oil heats up and starts to lose its damping consistency during a long stage or back-to-back runs. The three external adjustment knobs work through a smaller oil passage than you would find on a circuit-only design, which can produce a faint noise over big hits – that is a normal by-product of the valving, not a fault. The result is a damper that is happy taking repeated hard impacts on loose or broken surfaces without the fade or the oil breakdown a shorter-travel, smaller-reservoir shock would suffer.

Fitment for the BMW 4 Series F82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2014-2020)

This kit is specced for the BM93-coded BMW 4 Series F82 M4 built between 2014 and 2020, matched to the modified rear-integrated mounting configuration used on this build. Confirm your car uses this rear-integrated setup before ordering, as the geometry differs from a standard F82 rear end.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
