XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F82 M4 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2014-2020

The F82 M4 puts all of its power through two rear contact patches, and anyone who has tried a hard launch in one knows the result: the back end squats, breaks traction, and the run to 60 is decided in the first two seconds rather than the last two. XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover for the BMW 4 Series F82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated) is built around that exact problem.

Rather than chasing lap-time compliance, this kit is set up for a straight line only. It changes how weight moves onto the rear axle the instant the car leaves the line, which is precisely what a rear-wheel-drive platform needs when tyre compression only has a narrow window to happen in before the moment is gone.

What this coilover does for your 2014-2020 BMW 4 Series F82 M4 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Fitted to a 2014-2020 F82 M4, this coilover changes the front-to-rear weight balance under launch, loading the rear tyres harder in the first fraction of a second so they compress and grip instead of spinning. That reduces the idle time between throttle application and forward drive – the gap where a lot of drag runs are lost before the car has even properly left the beam. Because the setting is built around instant weight transfer rather than mid-corner balance, the M4 settles onto its rear tyres faster and holds that footprint through the run, which shows up directly as a shorter, straighter 0-400 pass. It is a single-purpose setup: this is not the coilover to reach for if you also want a compliant road ride or a car that rotates well on a circuit.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing range is built specifically for 0-400 drag work across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, which is a different design brief to a road or track coilover. The setting is tuned to redistribute weight between the front and rear axles the moment the car is put under power, forcing the driven tyres into greater compression during that instant rather than letting the car squat gradually into it. On the rear-wheel-drive F82 M4 that means the rear axle sees load transfer arrive sooner, so the tyres bite before wheelspin has a chance to set in. The result the range is engineered around is reduced idle time at the driven wheel and better stability once the car is moving at speed, rather than outright ride comfort or cornering balance. It is a dedicated drag setup, meant to be run as one rather than swapped between drag and road use.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
