XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F33 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) 2013-2026

The F33 trades the 4 Series coupe’s roof for a folding hardtop and the extra bracing and weight that comes with it, low down in the boot floor and sills – mass that has to be managed through a slide, not just carried through a corner. Strip out the xDrive and EDC-equipped cars that BMW sells alongside this one and what’s left is a rear-wheel-drive four-cylinder or six-cylinder chassis that answers to spring rate and damper valving alone, with no electronic damping to smooth over a bad setup.

That’s the car the XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around. This isn’t a fast-road compromise tuned for ride comfort – it’s a kit built for sustained slip angle, where the body needs to stay settled through the transition from grip to slide and back again, not just for a single hard corner entry.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 BMW 4 Series F33 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik, xDrive & EDC)

Drifting a rear-wheel-drive convertible chassis without adaptive damping means the coilover is doing all the work of keeping the body flat as weight shifts onto the outside rear tyre mid-slide. This kit lowers the ride height through a proper bump stroke rather than just winding down the spring perch, which keeps suspension travel usable instead of topping out the moment you load the rear axle. That matters on both the 4-cylinder cars and the six-cylinder 440i-spec versions covered by this SKU – same mounting points, same need for a chassis that holds its line once you’ve broken traction rather than snapping unpredictably from one lock to the other. The result is a rear end you can read and correct instead of one that surprises you.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line specifically around competition and practice drifting rather than circuit lap times, and the tuning philosophy reflects that. Where a track-focused coilover is set up to minimise body roll for the fastest single-corner exit, this kit is valved to keep the body stable through a sustained, controlled slide – stopping the car from tipping onto its outside shoulder and losing the angle the driver is trying to hold. The lowered ride height is achieved through genuine bump stroke rather than simply cranking down the spring collar, so the suspension retains real travel to work with once the car is loaded up sideways. That combination is what lets a driver hold a bigger, more consistent angle through a run instead of the chassis fighting the transition.

Fitment for the BMW 4 Series F33 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik, xDrive & EDC) (2013-2026)

This kit is built for the F33-generation BMW 4 Series (chassis code BM75-9) across the full 2013-2026 production span, covering both four-cylinder and six-cylinder engine variants. It’s specified for standard-suspension cars only – vehicles fitted with M-Technik trim, xDrive four-wheel drive, or factory Electronic Damper Control (EDC) are outside this kit’s mounting and valving specification.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
