XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 4 SERIES F33 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) 2013-2026

The F33 convertible’s folding hardtop sits over the rear axle and adds real weight against the F32 coupe it’s built alongside, and that extra mass costs the chassis torsional rigidity that BMW’s added strut brace and sill reinforcement only partly buy back. Strip out M-Technik, xDrive and EDC – no adaptive dampers, no four-wheel drive to paper over body movement – and you’re left with a car whose factory tune was never set up to control that weight at speed.

The XYZ Racing Racing Spec coilover for the Bmw 4 Series F33 4/6 CYL is a full spring-and-damper assembly built for serious track and time-attack use, not a fast-road compromise. It’s aimed at owners running this convertible hard enough that the standard suspension’s limits are the thing holding a lap time back.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 Bmw 4 Series F33 4/6 CYL

Fit the Racing Spec kit and the biggest change is how the car settles under trail-braking, with the convertible’s extra weight no longer left to keep moving after the chassis has already turned in. Ride height drops enough to lower the centre of gravity across both the 4-cylinder cars and the heavier six-cylinder 435i/440i, taking some of the nose-heavy feel out of a big straight-six sat ahead of the front axle. Because this fitment excludes EDC, the coilover’s own damping is the only damping in the system – there’s no adaptive electronics arguing with your setup, so every change you make on track is a direct one. Without xDrive to help put power down, corner-exit traction depends entirely on how well the rear stays loaded, and tighter, better-controlled rear damping keeps the tyre working over kerbs and mid-corner bumps rather than skipping across them.

About the Racing Spec coilover

XYZ’s Racing Spec line is the brand’s dedicated circuit damper, and the valving comes out of direct involvement in WTCC competition rather than a road-car curve turned up a notch. That background shows in a damper built to hold its settings through a full session instead of fading after a handful of hard laps. For F33s carrying heavier modification – bigger brakes, wider wheels, aero – XYZ also offers a bespoke shock absorber service: supply the spec of what’s already changed on the car and the circuit it’s built for, and they’ll produce a custom-made damper around that exact combination, the same process used for full-house racing builds. Construction as a coilover, spring and damper as one calibrated unit, keeps the whole corner working to a single design rather than a mismatch of separately sourced parts.

Fitment for the Bmw 4 Series F33 4/6 CYL (2013-2026)

Confirmed for the Bmw 4 Series F33 across the 2013-2026 range, covering both 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engine variants under chassis code BM75-9. This kit is specified for cars without the M-Technik package, without xDrive and without EDC adaptive damping – if your F33 carries any of those three, look for the fitment listing that matches that spec instead.
