XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES G20 (2WD/4WD) 4/6 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping 2018-2026

The G20 3 Series was never set up for a straight-line fight. Its five-link rear and, on M Sport-equipped cars, electronically controlled adaptive dampers are calibrated for road composure and quattro-rivalling cornering grip, not for putting maximum load through the rear contact patch the instant the clutch drops or the torque converter locks up. Whether your G20 runs rear-wheel drive or xDrive, launching hard exposes the same weakness: the standard dampers let weight transfer too slowly, so the tyre never gets the vertical load it needs before wheelspin starts eating the run.

The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover is built specifically around that problem. Where a road or track coilover is tuned for consistent body control lap after corner, this kit is tuned for the first 60 feet: getting weight onto the driven axle as fast as possible and keeping it there through the run.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2026 BMW 3 Series G20

On the strip, the immediate difference is how much more tyre you can put down off the line. The kit’s damping and spring settings are biased to shift weight onto the loaded axle under launch load rather than letting the body pitch and unload the tyre, which is what causes bog and wheel idle on a stock or road-biased setup. On 2WD G20s that means the rear axle loads up cleanly for the hit; on 4WD xDrive cars, the front end settles fast enough that torque split through the front axle actually finds grip instead of spinning it away. Because the valving is fixed to this task rather than compromised for daily ride quality, launches are repeatable run after run – the car settles into the same attitude every time, which matters far more than outright compliance when you’re chasing a consistent 60-foot time. For G20s originally fitted with electronically controlled adaptive dampers, the cancellation kit removes the factory module from the equation entirely, so the mechanical valving is what’s actually controlling the car under launch rather than a computer fighting it.

About the Drag Racing coilover

This is a coilover built for 0-400 metre racing across front-, rear-, and four-wheel-drive platforms, which is why the same core design covers the 2WD and 4WD BM107-C variants. The defining feature is adjustable front-to-rear weight bias: rather than a single fixed damping curve, the setup lets the car’s weight be shifted toward whichever axle is doing the driving the instant the throttle goes down. That shift forces greater compression into the loaded tyre, which is what actually cuts down wheel idle time – the gap between the hit and the tyre finding grip – and keeps the car stable as speed builds through the run. It’s a deliberately narrow-focus product: everything is set up around the launch and the run, not everyday comfort.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series G20 (2018-2026)

Built for the BM107-C chassis code covering both 2WD and 4WD (xDrive) G20 3 Series cars, 2018-2026, across 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines, with the modified rear-integrated mounting configuration. This listing is the cancellation-kit variant for cars originally fitted with electronically controlled dampers, replacing that control module with fixed mechanical valving.

Spec the 2WD or 4WD version for your G20’s drivetrain and configure yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
