XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E90 M3 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E90 M3’s factory EDC dampers were calibrated around smooth tarmac, not the sideways, low-grip demands of a gravel stage or a snow-covered car park – which is the gap XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built to close. This kit ships with the cancellation module needed to remove the electronic damping signal from the S65 V8 saloon’s wiring loom, so you can fit a fully manual coilover without the dash lighting up with EDC fault codes.

Where a road or circuit-biased coilover assumes high-grip, predictable surfaces, this Pro Racing Gravel/Snow spec is built around loose ground and repeated big-hit compression – rallycross stages, packed snow, ice events, or any low-traction discipline where the rear axle needs somewhere to go before it runs out of stroke.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 BMW 3 Series E90 M3

Longer front and rear travel gives the rear axle room to move when the surface drops away mid-corner, rather than topping or bottoming out the way a shorter-travel, road-biased unit would on the same stage. XYZ Racing has also increased the internal oil volume and nitrogen gas charge on this Gravel/Snow spec, which keeps the shock running cooler through a long stage or a full afternoon of winter driving instead of fading as internal temperatures climb. Three external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound between a gravel section, an icy layby, and a faster return road without swapping dampers – useful on a rear-driven, S65-powered car that behaves very differently once the back end starts moving on loose ground. Because the EDC cancellation kit is built into the package, none of that comes at the cost of a dashboard full of suspension warnings.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow line specifically for rally and rallycross use, where a damper has to survive repeated hard compressions on ground that can shift from gravel to mud to packed snow within a single stage. The extended front and rear travel is the main departure from a road or standard circuit coilover – it buys a bigger margin before the suspension runs out of stroke on a hit that would bottom out a shorter-travel unit. Internally, both oil volume and nitrogen gas charge are increased over XYZ Racing’s road-focused coilovers, spreading the heat generated by constant big movements across more fluid and keeping damping consistent rather than fading as the shock works hard for an extended period. Adjustment runs through three external knobs metered by a deliberately small internal oil passage – on rough ground this can produce a faint clicking or ticking as oil moves through that passage on big hits, which is normal for this valving rather than a fault. The result is a damper built to shrug off the repeated, high-frequency impacts that gravel and snow stages throw at it.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series E90 M3 (2007-2011)

This kit is built for the E90-generation 3 Series M3, chassis code BM89-C, produced between 2007 and 2011, in the Modified Rr Integrated configuration paired with the cancellation kit for electronic damping. That cancellation module is what allows the S65 V8’s factory EDC-equipped chassis to accept a fully manual coilover without dashboard errors, so confirm your car carries the electronic damping setup this variant is designed to replace before ordering.

Confirm your E90 M3 carries the EDC setup this cancellation kit is designed for, then configure your Pro Racing Gravel/Snow spec below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
